Douglas DC-3 Three Fuel Tank Automixture Gauge
0.48Mb (867 downloads)
FS2004 Douglas DC-3 Three Fuel Tank Automixture Gauge For three-tank operation, this gauge may be of interest to those pilots who like to fly without checking the "Enable automixture" function in the "Aircraft/Realism Settings" pull-down menu, but want more DC-3 realism than can be achieved with FS2004's simulation of mixture control. It requires prior installation of Beaumont and Bitzer's Douglas DC-3 Three Fuel Tank Modification, to be found in DC3_3TK.ZIP. Its purpose is to replicate the auto-rich and auto-lean settings on the mixture controls, including a fully functional mixture control. Its calibrated range of operation is from 3000 to 12000ft. density altitude. In the auto-rich position, it approximates the checked "Enable automixture" setting on the "Aircraft/Realism Settings" menu. In the auto-lean position, the mixture is leaned to increase the exhaust gas temperature about 30 degrees K. from auto-rich, and will increase achieved miles per gallon. FS2004 Douglas DC-3 Four Fuel Tank Automixture Gauge For four-tank operation, this gauge may be of interest to those pilots who like to fly without checking the "Enable automixture" function in the "Aircraft/Realism Settings" pull-down menu, but want more DC-3 realism than can be achieved with FS2004's simulation of mixture control. It requires prior installation of Beaumont and Bitzer's Douglas DC-3 Four Fuel Tank Conversion Kit, to be found in DC3_4TK.ZIP. FS2004 DC-3 SINGLE IFR PANEL COMMS PACK UPDATE 2.3 This package may appeal to those who fly the DC-3 or other aircraft in multiplayer using Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont's IFR panel. The modification was initially designed for the very active virtual airline 'DC-3 Airways' (www.dc3airways.com). It updates this panel to be able to change either preset 'Teamspeak' or 'Roger Wilco' frequencies from within the cockpit with no task switch, depending on which Comms software is in use at the time. That said, the new 'Roger Wilco' switch gauge included can be added to any panel, allowing switching of preconfigured 'Roger Wilco' frequencies with no requirement for additional software other than 'Roger Wilco' itself. Offered with choice of white or orange Bendix-style readout. To use the 'Teamspeak' gauge, which appears as a light on the COM2 panel and can be switched using dialed frequencies, 'Teamspeak' Client and 'FSTSTuner' software are required - search this site. Full details are in the README. By Mark Beaumont and Matt Kaprocki. File name: DC3_COMM.ZIP

Douglas DC-3 Four Fuel Tank Conversion Kit
0.86Mb (1169 downloads)
FS2004 Douglas DC-3 Four Fuel Tank Conversion Kit The default FS2004 DC-3 is configured for three fuel tanks, whereas by design the C-47/DC-3 had four from which to draw. Many airlines using the DC-3 commercially blanked off, removed or never installed one tank in order to maximise payload; they were usually operating shorter routes than were typical of the C-47 in military service, This conversion kit gives the option of restoring the aircraft to four-tank configuration, giving greater range for long duration flights. Offering realistic fuel management, this option can replace your default configuration or, alternatively, add four-tank aircraft to your DC-3 collection. Note that this file will only be of use to those pilots who like to set up fuel and payload properly before a flight; pilots using default FS settings of maximum fuel and full payload will find that the aircraft is over maximum takeoff weight in this configuration.
