FSX/2004 FHC Texture Fi-156 Storch Textures
6.70Mb (1060 downloads)
One of the most versatile aircraft of the Second World War was the German Fieseler Fi 156 'Storch' (stork). It was produced in five nations and used from 1937 to 1970 by over two-dozen nations. The Flying Heritage Collectoin of Everett, WA has one of the few wartime Storches still airworthy. It is flown for their "Luftwaffe Day" each summer. It was manufactured in Germany in 1943 was used by the Luftwaffe in Occupied Europe and on the Russian Front. This texture file represents this appearance. This fits Tim "Piglet" Conrad's 2002/2004 Fi 156 Storch (fi156_fs.zip) as adapted for FSX by Erik "hertzie" Hertzberger.

FSX/ Acceleration Boeing 221A Monomail
FSX/ Acceleration Boeing 221A Monomail
14.14Mb (2172 downloads)
The 221A Monomail was a major advance in aircraft design, being one of the first all metal, stressed skin monoplanes built. Despite it's advances the 221A'a layout harked back to the biplane era, with the cabin forward, and open cockpit aft. Lack of a constant speed propeller prevented the Monomail's true success, as better twins were introduced by the time C-S props appeared. Only one 221A saw brief service between Chicago-Cheyenne. This is an FSX update of the great FS9 model by Tim Conrad. The package features an entirely reworked VC and cockpit interior as well as a newly configured 2D panel matching the VC in every respect. New smoke effect and new camera views have been added as well. Thanks to Tim Conrad for the original model and to Dale Caruso for his repaint. New VC, cockpit design, 2D panel and smoke effect by Michael Pook.

FSX Sopwith Triplane Prototype Replica Textures
FSX Sopwith Triplane Prototype Replica Textures
5.83Mb (956 downloads)
The Sopwith Triplane was a British single seat fighter aircraft designed and manufactured by the Sopwith Aviation Company during the First World War. Pilots nicknamed it the Tripehound or simply the Tripe. The Triplane became operational with the Royal Naval Air Service in early 1917 and was immediately successful. Sopwith's prototype for the Triplane was "N500", first flown on 28, May 1916 with Sopwith test pilot Harry Hawker at the controls. In June of that year, it was delivered to 'A' Squadron, First Navy Air Wing in Dunkirk for combat evaluation, reputedly sent on a combat mission 15 minutes after arrival. In the collection of the "The Great War Display Team," is a replica built over a three year period by Ernie Hoblyn. It first flew in 1997 and is currently owned by Gordon Brander. This texture file represents that replica.

FSX/2004 Sopwith Triplane Black Maria Textures

The Sopwith Triplane was a British single seat fighter aircraft designed and manufactured by the Sopwith Aviation Company during the First World War. Pilots nicknamed it the Tripehound or simply the Tripe. The Triplane became operational with the Royal Naval Air Service in early 1917 and was immediately successful. This texture is representative of "Black Maria", flown by Raymond Collishaw. He is recorded as the second highest scoring British ace of WWI. Collishaw flew three separate Sopwith Triplanes, all called Black Maria - N5384, N5492, and N533. This is the second airframe, N5492, a single gunned Triplane with the black markings Collishaw's unit bore as a distinquishing characteristic.

Morane-Saulnier MS-406 photorealistic VC-update
4.76Mb (970 downloads)
Terriffic photorealistic VC-update by Michael Pook for Thicko's Morane-Saulnier MS-406, just uploaded on SimViation, together with better thumbnails and necessary gauge. Enjoy! Don't forget to put the gauge(s) in your FSX-gauges map, otherwise FSX may not recognise them (if you have them already it's not necessary to overwrite). Thanks Michael for your support and great work.

Morane-Saulnier MS-406
24.67Mb (1588 downloads)
Morane-Saulnier MS-406B/C, another one of Thicko's great CFS2-planes, now flyable in FSX. 2 Models (tailwheel or tailskid), 8 liveries (3 French, 2 Vichy, 1 Finnish, 1 Swiss and 1 Regia Aeronautica), thanks to Thicko, Morton, Franzi, Villa and Epsillon. Morton's exceptional photorealistic 2D and an acceptable VC by me, all with working gauges (included), thanks to Michel Migaud and his FK-58 'crew'. Hispano-Suiza sounds are from Lawdog (who else?), gun- and cannon-effects for fun. Enjoy!

FSX Turbo Mustang III
FSX Turbo Mustang III
16.00Mb (2352 downloads)
FSX Turbo Mustang III. In 1957, the last of the active duty F-51s were withdrawn from ANG service. Extra fuel capacity in fixed tiptanks, stronger wingspars and a tall tail like the P-51H were added. With new ideas of how to keep the P-5 1 Mustang alive and in service, a Rolls Royce Dart 510 Turboprop was installed in civilian P-51 N6167U. This mod was not funded by the USAF, but by Cavalier. The new modification was called the Turbo Mustang III. Cavalier tried to get the USAF and other air forces interested in the project but no sales were made. Later, Cavalier sold the project to Piper and it became the PA-48 Enforcer. Tested in FSX/FS2004. GMAX model by A.F.Scrub.

FSX/ Acceleration Martin Baker MB5 Updated
FSX/ Acceleration Martin Baker MB5 Updated
11.78Mb (1401 downloads)
The Martin-Baker MB5 was the ultimate development of a series of prototype fighter aircraft built during the World War II. Neither the MB 5 nor its predecessors ever entered production despite what test pilots described as excellent performance. This FSX/ FSX Acceleration update fixes the issue of the prop being totally black instead of blurred while running in FSX Acceleration. It's still not perfect but it sure enhances the appearence of the plane in flight. In addition, smoke effect has been added to the aircraft as well. This mega package includes ten textures, seven military variants and three racer models. Original model by Alphasim, FSX update by Danny Garnier and additional textures by Nick Bradin. Prop fix and new smoke configuration by Michael Pook.

Douglas C-47 NASARR Trainer The Douglas C-47 NASARR Trainers were ordinary Skytrains fitted with F-104G noses in order to act as navigational school rooms for budding Starfighter pilots (NASARR = North American Radar and Ranging). Among the air forces using them in this function was the German Air Force, which had five (called Nasenbaer/coati), the Canadian Air Force, which had two (called Pinocchio), and the Belgian Air Force. The paint included represents GAF 14+10. This plane was modified to NASARR Trainer status in 1964 and withdrawn from use in 1973. Model and GAF paint by Manfred Jahn.
