This material describes one of methods, how take off with sailplane. FS98 and FS2000 haves two major mistakes for sailplane pilots - missing take off possibility and missing updraft lift under the clouds. Second problem was solved by Ed Dumas Sr.. Because a usual method of take off with slew commands is not very realistic and satisfied, I am using for all my sailplanes virtual "jet engine", which simulate regular take off.
