SAAB Viggen adapted for FSX

This was the ex payware Saab J37 Viggen from Virtavia/Alphasim created back in 2005 and now available for freeware. Modifications and aircraft.cfg in VC and 2d panel so that it now work in FSX.

The Saab 37 Viggen (aka Thunderbolt) was a Swedish single-seat, single-engine, short-medium range fighter and attack aircraft, manufactured between 1970 and 1990. Several variants were produced to perform the roles of all-weather fighter-interceptor, ground-attack and photo-reconnaissance, as well as a two-seat trainer.
Several models, armed/unarmed, included.

Model and textures by Alphasim. FSX updates by Danny Garnier.

Installation:

1: Extract all the files into a temp folder.
2. Move the folder 'ALPHA Saab Viggen FSX' into the Simobjects\Airplanes folder inside FSX
3. Move the files inside 'Effects' into the 'Effects' folder inside FSX

FEATURES:

1) Animations

Canopy : shift-e

2) POP-UP PANELS :

shift-2 : autopilot
shift-3 : radios
shift-3 : GPS
shift-4-7 : HUD brightness levels (also clickable on panel)
shift-8 : full-screen HUD

3) AFTERBURNER :

The afterburner is lit either by pressing shift-F4 (and shift-F4 again to cancel), or by clicking on the afterburner lamp on the panel and in the cockpit (above the rpm gauge). The afterburner flames are NOT automatic, ie. they don't come on just because you are at full throttle, the afterburner needs to be manually engaged using one of the methods described.

4) THRUST REVERSER : Press and hold the F2 key, tap F1 to cancel - OR - use the mousable lever on the left side of the panel in virtual cockpit mode.

5) SMOKE :

the smoke trail is enabled on the i-key.

These files are freeware. Please amend/distribute as you see fit.

They are unsupported, so please do not e-mail us if you have problems.
