INSTALLING THE BENDIX/KING SILVER CROWN STACK This archive contains eight Bendix/King instruments gauges for FS2002: AUD_Bendix_KMA26.gau - Audio panel KMA 26 GPS_Bendix_KLN89B.gau - GPS KLN 89B receiver NAVCOM1_Bendix_SC_KX155.gau - NAV1/COM1 KX 155 transceiver NAVCOM2_Bendix_SC_KX155.gau - NAV2/COM2 KX 155 transceiver ADF_Bendix_KR87.gau - ADF KR 87 radio DME1_Bendix_SC_KR87.gau - DME1 KN 64A system DME2_Bendix_SC_KR87.gau - DME2 KN 64A system XPDR_Bendix_SC_KT76A.gau - Transponder KT 76A Silver Crown With this gauges you can build a completely IFR radio stack of the somewhat older Bendix/King Silver Crown series as descripted below. Make a backup copy of the panel.cfg file before you make any changes. Edit the panel.cfg file of the aircraft you want the Bendix SIlver Crown radio stack to use with. If you want to replace an existing radio panel, here is an replacement example for the FS2002 default C172: ... //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window01] Background_color=2,2,2 size_mm=100,176 window_size_ratio=1.000 position=8 visible=1 ident=RADIO_STACK_PANEL window_size= 0.372, 0.932 window_pos= 0.636, 0.068 gauge00=AUD_Bendix_KMA26!AUD_Bendix_KMA26, 0,0,100,19 gauge01=GPS_Bendix_KLN89B!GPS_Bendix_KLN89B, 0,19,100 gauge01=NAVCOM1_SC_Bendix_KX155!NAVCOM1_Bendix_SC_KX155, 0,51,100 gauge03=NAVCOM2_SC_Bendix_KX155!NAVCOM2_Bendix_SC_KX155, 0,81,100 gauge04=DME1_Bendix_SC_KN64A!DME1_Bendix_SC_KN64A, 0,111,100 gauge05=ADF_Bendix_KR87!ADF_Bendix_KR87, 0,131,100 gauge06=XPDR_Bendix_SC_KT76A!XPDR_Bendix_SC_KT76A, 0,151,100 ... If you want to have the Bendix Silver Crown radio stack in a separate window, you have to append the panel.cfg with a new window number: a. Under [Window Titles] find the highest Window0x entry Window0x=is the lastwindow Add the following line after the highest window number x Window0y=Bendix radio stack If the last window number x is Window02, make the new window number y Window03. b. Add the following block of text about two lines after the end of the block of text for the last window number Window0x: If the last window number is [window02] window y is [window03] //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window03] Background_color=2,2,2 size_mm=100,176 window_size_ratio=1.000 position=8 visible=1 ident=RADIO_STACK_PANEL window_size= 0.372, 0.932 window_pos= 0.636, 0.068 gauge00=AUD_Bendix_KMA26!AUD_Bendix_KMA26, 0,0,100,19 gauge01=GPS_Bendix_KLN89B!GPS_Bendix_KLN89B, 0,19,100 gauge01=NAVCOM1_SC_Bendix_KX155!NAVCOM1_Bendix_SC_KX155, 0,51,100 gauge03=NAVCOM2_SC_Bendix_KX155!NAVCOM2_Bendix_SC_KX155, 0,81,100 gauge04=DME1_Bendix_SC_KN64A!DME1_Bendix_SC_KN64A, 0,111,100 gauge05=ADF_Bendix_KR87!ADF_Bendix_KR87, 0,131,100 gauge06=XPDR_Bendix_SC_KT76A!XPDR_Bendix_SC_KT76A, 0,151,100 Use Window0y with y being the next number after the highest Window0x in your panel, in the example we use Window03. With this example radio stack you don't need the DME gauge and the localizer OMI gauge in the default C172 main panel. Look what I've done with the default C172 main panel to delete the OMI and DME gauges: //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window00] file=panel_background_640.bmp file_1024=panel_background_1024.bmp size_mm=640 window_size_ratio=1.000 position=7 visible=1 ident=MAIN_PANEL window_size= 1.000, 0.704 window_pos= 0.000, 0.296 no_luminous=1 gauge00=Cessna!ADF, 545,86,90,90 gauge01=Cessna172!Airspeed, 145,56,98,98 gauge02=Cessna!Altimeter, 347,57,100,98 gauge03=Cessna!Attitude, 246,56,100,100 gauge04=Cessna!Avionics Switch, 240,286,37,46 gauge05=Cessna!Flaps, 598,286,33,47 gauge06=Cessna!Fuel_Selector, 451,287,39,48 gauge07=Cessna!Heading_Indicator, 246,158,100,99 gauge08=Cessna!IOAT, 481,56,58 gauge09=Cessna!Master_Alt_Bat, 55,288,40,44 gauge10=Cessna!Starter, 5,288,43,44 gauge11=Cessna172!Tachometer, 545,180,91,90 gauge12=Cessna172!Thrust_Controls, 500,287,91,49 gauge13=Cessna!Turn_Indicator, 145,157,100,99 gauge14=Cessna!Vertical_Speed, 347, 157 ,100,100 gauge15=Cessna!VOR1, 451,86,90,90 gauge16=Cessna!Nav GPS Switch, 463,59,10,14 gauge17=Cessna!Pitch_Trim, 284,286,28,45 gauge18=Cessna172!EGT_Fuel_Flow, 72,133,70,69 gauge19=Cessna172!Fuel, 1,133,70,69 gauge20=Cessna182s!Oil_Press_Temp, 1,204,70,69 gauge21=Cessna182s!Switches, 104,289,132,42 gauge22=Cessna182s!VOR2, 451,180,90,90 gauge23=Cessna!Vacuum_Ampermeter, 72,204,70,69 gauge24=SimIcons!Kneeboard Icon, 326,280,12,12 gauge25=SimIcons!ATC Icon, 340,280,12,12 gauge26=SimIcons!Map Icon, 354,280,12,12 gauge27=SimIcons!Avionics Icon, 399,280,12,12 gauge28=SimIcons!GPS Icon, 413,280,12,12 gauge29=SimIcons!Compass Icon, 427,280,12,12 gauge30=cessna172!Clock, 85,73,54 Save your panel.cfg file. Copy the *.gau files from the archives in your FS Gauges folder. Copy the *.wav files from the archive in your FS Sound folder. Copy the *.ttf file from the archive in your Windows Fonts folder. Run FS with the aircraft you have made the changes in the panel.cfg file. Enjoy it. Gerd R. Nehr GeRoN Brainware gnehr@gat24.de
