SADLER VAMPIRE FSX UPDATE AND REPAINT

by Rick Federmann (Pville211)
November 2012

This is the complete Sadler Vampire that was created and released in 2006 by Byron Warwick, updated for FSX. When FSX was released it was not compatble with some of the gauges in the Vampire, and the radio and GPS were not displayed. This update provides full FSX functionality, except for the handheld radio.

This update also adds a new red, white and blue paint scheme.

Installation Instructions
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the complete aircraft.

Instructions are based on the default folder locations of FSX in Windows7. Your folder locations
and the specific name of your aircraft folder may be different.

1. Copy the "Sadler Vampire SV-2A" folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games
        \Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\

2. Inside the Sadler Vampire folder is a subfolder "VampireGauges". Copy the VampireGauges folder
to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Gauges (copy the
folder, not just the folder's files)

Notes
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Slew mode does not work properly with this aircraft. It will rocket the plane horizontally in an uncontrollable manner.

Some of the gauges are provided by the MiniPanel.cab file that is included in the default FSX installation in the Gauges folder.

No recent (past several years) reference or contact information was found for Byron Warwick to inform him of this update. He made a great aircraft and is hopefully doing well.
