Notes:

This scenery is released as FREEWARE and belongs in public domain. This scenery has been tested with Microsoft's FS2002 professional edition only. All features in the scenery should be available when density is set to "very sparse".

1)I have closed runway 36 for takeoffs and landings. You can modify this to your liking by using AFCAD.

2) The green or olive coloured hangars are hardened air shelters (HAS) for operationally ready combat aircraft.

3) Some textures or APIs may not be to your liking. It may be because you have better or different ones on your pc or that I did not have time to browse through the myriad choices available on the net. You may modify the SCN file that I provided to suit your taste and create your own BGL file - provided you acknowledge that I created the original files.

4) There are many more sophisticated macro APIs out there that can be used in a scenery but I chose to use the easily available ones or the defaults found within FSSC just to avoid potential problems with different kinds of end-users. No two FS2 in different pcs are the same just as one man's meat is another's poison!

4) Layout and most other details are not like in real-life, I guess to thwart paranoid security freaks from complaining ; )

5) I'm looking forward to suggestions, complaints, invitations to collaborative work and so on. As you can see, much of the scenery is not refined yet and pretty basic, some do not even follow international standards in airfield markings and so on. That's because I'm not paid to do this. I am not a professional designer so unfortunately I cannot afford to spend much time updating and improving on the sceneries. However, if I'm encouraged by monetary offers I'd be releasing new and improved ideas based on accurate info on airfields of the southeast asian region.

6) All credits are due to the designers who make available the elements in this scenery free to the public.

Thanks to Derek Leung for FSSC.
Paul Harmon and Robert Waszkiewicz for hangars.
Chris Arrington for airport textures.
Gerrish Gray for buildings and trees.
Jeremiah Broughton for the "people".
Eric Jonas for the CT.
Graham P. Oxtoby for ramp lights.
Rafael Garcia Sanchez for vehicles and boats.
John de Langristin for car parks.

I'm just the cook that hopefully doesn't spoil your appetite for add-on sceneries. Anyway, hope you enjoy the scenery. Bon Appetit!

INSTALLATION
-------------

1)To install trees texture by Gerrish Gray extract the folder 'TREES' in the zipped file to an empty folder and read the docs contained within.

2)Create a new folder in the flightsim's addon scenery folder eg.

Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2002\ADDON SCENERY\WMKB or
Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2002\ADDON SCENERY\Butterworth

It's better to have a name shorter than eight characters.

3)Create two separate folders within the above folder and name them scenery and texture ie,

Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2002\ADDON SCENERY\XXXX\scenery
Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2002\ADDON SCENERY\XXXX\texture

4)Extract all of the x.bgl and x.sca into the above XXXX\scenery folder

5)Extract all of the other texture files into your main FS2002 Texture folder: Usually, /Program Files/Microsoft Games/FS2002/Texture.

Answer NO to overwrite. Take note of the file to be overwritten. Back it up elsewhere, then redo the extraction again.

6)Start the flightsim and go to the scenery library. Add the new scenery by finding the SCENERY folder of your new scenery within your ADDON SCENERY directory. Prioritise the new scenery by moving it WELL ABOVE "southeast asia" and "Kuala Lumpur". Failure to do so will result in you having double vision, ie there will be overlapping runways etc. You have been warned! Save by clicking on OK and exit.

7)Exit the flightsim. Open the file scenery.cfg in your FS2000 main directory using notepad and find the section

[Area.XXX] <---- flightsim dependent, leave it as it is but it shouldn't be blank.

Under the line,

Local=ADDON SCENERY\WMKB or \XXXX (whatever name you gave the new folder)

make sure it has the flatten line as above.

That should do it.

AFCAD
-----
WMKB.txt
What to do with it?

First and foremost, get the latest version of AFCAD.
If you want the prepared parking spots for mil aircraft at WMKB, just drag the text file into the AFCAD Installer. Voila!
