What is this?
One day, 3D-View one drawing and the photograph have been sent to me.
It was like the prototype plane of Germany.
However, the airframe marked that star that had been got used to seeing.
Certainty, It is the United States airframe.

How grotesque shape!
It is very interesting.
Thus, making XP-67 started.

I also understand the idea that uses the exhaust of the turboprop for the impellent.
However, was it actually useful?
Because the performances were worse than it thought, there might still not have been so much effect.
And, the flap of that abdomen......................
I think that the speed decrease is larger than the lift rise in that.
How do you seem?

Anyway, it is an aircraft ended only by one of the making for trial purposes.
I think that it is one of the valuable history material.
Please enjoy you without reserve.
However, it doesn't understand for the reproduction of the performance at all.
If you don't like Flight Dynamics, please change it according to your favor.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The XP-67 was a somewhat revolutionary design by McDonnell Aircraft.

It used two turbo-charged engines whose exhaust was ejected at the rear of the engine nacelle, providing some additional thrust.

The pilot was to sit in a pressurized cabin, and the plane's armament was very heavy for a fighter (six 37mm cannon in one prototype, and a 75mm cannon in another prototype).

When viewed from above the aircraft had an unusual profile, in that the engine nacelles and fuselage were shaped to provide true aerofoil sections throughout.

The first flight was made in January 1944, with testing undertaken later that year.

Performance proved to be far from satisfactory, and modifications were made to improve certain stability problems.

Before official trials could resume, however, the prototype was extensively damaged by fire and the program was abandoned

[ About the installation ]

The airframe must copy the \XP-67 folder as it is in the Aircraft folder of FS2002 or FS2004.

     \FS2002(FS2004)
        -----\Aircraft
          ---------\XP-67

Please copy all files in the \gauges folder onto the gauge in the Gauges folder of FS2002 or FS2004.
A general gauge is saved for the gauge bundled this time.
The Gauges of kingair,EXTRA-300 and GPS are not bundled.
Please set up it by yourself.

[ About the operations ]

   Shift+"E" = Canopy Open/Shut

A special key operation is not used for this model.

*It is not being equipped with the air brake to this aircraft.

[ About free software ]

All aircraft that I made are free software.
The reprint and the repaint may go freely.
However, please defend the following conditions.

1.The change in contents of this file is prohibited.
(Please distribute it like the Zip file of the current state when distributing it. )
2.Please neither reverse-assembly nor never remodel(convert) it of the aircraft model.
3.Please don't bundle my airframe(MDL file) in the package of your works when you open the repaint to the public.
(Please open only the texture to the public. )
4.Don't use DXT format for making texture.
Please make it by the format that everyone can change.
It is necessary to be able to read and change with usual drawing software.
5.It is prohibited to bundle and to open a new panel to the public to my aircraft model.
(Please open only the panel to the public.
It is included in this file, and remodeling the panel that uses the panel background and the change in the panel background are prohibited. )
6.I maintain the copyright of the aircraft model and the panel background.
7.The copyright of the gauge belongs to the author.

[ About the directions point in FS2004 ]

This aircraft model is made by using FSDS Ver2.24.
Therefore, it is possible to play basically in FS2004(FS9).
However........!!
For a wide large-scale aircraft, the distortion is caused and the phenomenon of the aerofoil tip's disappearing happens in the spot shooting mode.
If this phenomenon happens, Please switch to the spot shooting mode by using other small aircraft.
Afterwards, if this aircraft is selected, it is normally displayed.
