A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM THE AUTHOR

PLEASE BACK UP THE ORIGINAL B737-800 FILE !

This is a replica of the default 737-800 cockpit, but this would only be the first edition. I hope that in future this VC will have new releases with more improvements, possibly including a cabin.

I'm also thinking about upgrading other default FSX models too. That will depend a lot in how much you like this 737 virtual cockpit, and how good your contributions will be. Donations are very important for me.
Please visit my site, there its a Paypal Donate button there:

http://www.simviation.com/fsnd/menu.html

Please consider a donation if you are able to, but don't worry if you not able to donate. I make this as freeware. I'M DEVOTED TO THE FREEWARE DESIGNERS COMMUNITY, but all donations help FREEWARE designers to make more designs.

Additionnaly, I've been noticing lately that some of my aircraft models have been Uploaded into other websites without my permission. In the worse cases, the descriptions were even mentioning other persons as the designer (Piracy), the readme files and any traces of the real original producer are deleted! So this time, I have made a Watermark in the outside of the windows, and it's made in poligons, so nobody will be able to delete that. Just move your eyepoint to the left side and come out of the pilot windows, and there it is...

Nowadays the FS community can protect freeware designers, because without them the Flight Simulator series would have never dissapeared a long time ago :) This doesn't apply only to my planes, but to any plane from any designer: we you recognize a plane uploaded on a website with incorrect/modified author names, then you should consider sending an email to the webmaster of that site to notify him about what happened. This is the best contribuition of all! HELP THE FREEWARE DEVELOPERS by giving them credit for the hundreds of hours they spent for free. Do not support piracy!!

HOW TO INSTALL:

There are Two files. The first one is to install the New Cockpit. The other is for reverse - and put back the original files in the case you don't want it. However, I would advise you to make a copy of the entire B737-800 folder and save it save it to a safe folder anywhere. (Back up all original files!). This will allow you to get your original 737 back without any problems, in case my "revert" file isn't enough.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
-1- GPWS:
This new cockpit includes a GPWS system. I have noticed that the gauges of the GPWS cause a crash to desktop when you try to end the flight, or when you try to quit FSX, or even when you try to choose another aircraft. However, the airplane and the GPWS works well inside FSX, even if you navigate through menus for weather or map or stuff like that, so you won't get any issue during a normal flight. Nevertheless, if this problem is too bothering for you, you can simply remove th GPWS gauges from the panel folder of the 737, this will solve it.

-2- Lights effect problem:
I have modified a lot of switches in the entire cockpit to make them usable, unfortunatly some of the lights like Navigation, Wing Lights, Logo Light and especially Taxi Light, seem to be defined in the EXTERIOR model of the 737-800, so I could not make them work. Wing lights and other lights situated on the wings cannot be added in the aircraft.cfg, because of the Wing Flex animation. If I had the exterior model, that would have been easy to fix...

There are many additions in this new cockpit! Look them up ! Get some surprises ;-)

*IMPORTANT NOTE: Numerous attempts have been made to contact Garret Smith for permission to include the FMC system.
As can be seen above, full credit goes to Mr. Smith for the creation of this FMC. I, Mr.Lucena, simply imported it into my creation.
