FSX SP2/A Lockheed T-33A T-Bird Jet Training Aircraft. February 13, 2010 Revision A. Addition of revised VC canopy EW-133 aircraft specular mapping Additional textures Developed from Lockheed's F-80 Shooting Star jet fighter, the T-33 went on to become one of the most successful jet trainers in history. Over 5000 were built with license production in Canada and Japan adding several hundred more. Made with Abacus Flight Sim Design Studio 3.5.1 This is a redone model based on Tim Conrad's FS2002/FS2004 T-33A for FSX SP2/Acceleration. It is a native FSX SP2/A model and will only work in FSX SP2/A. It will not work in earlier versions of MS Flight Sim. Model includes virtual cockpit, smoking engine and 6 texture choices. Original model by Tim Conrad, update to native FSX SP2/A by W. E. Stephens (Radioman123) using FSDS 3.5.1. Permissions Tim Conrad (Piglet) gave me his kind permission to use his source code as a starting point and to repost the model. Additionally, Ed Wells (falcon409) gave me his kind permission to use some of his textures for the T-33A which are high-resolution DDS textures. HenryW gave me his kind persmission to include some of his textures. John Detrick gave me his kind permission to use portions of his Flight Dynamics Files to get more flight characteristics. Put the effects files in effects.zip in your EFFECTS folder. Put the gauges files in your GAUGES folder. ******************************************************************************** IMPORTANT *************** IMPORTANT ******************************* IMPORTANT ********************* Copy the GaugeSound.dll file into your FS Main Folder. Easygauge 2.0, what I used to make gau's, says this file is needed. If you already have one of my later planes, you most likely have this file already installed. SIM WILL CRASH IF NOT INSTALLED! ******************************************************************************** NOTAMS: 1) If you select full fuel, you will be overweight, at about 14,251LBS. While within flight limits, the T-Bird will fly and handle much better if you have about 75% fuel. Fly with full center, and about half main/tip tanks. Normal max useful aircraft weight is about 11,500LBS Sound Files: 1) The current sound file is has an alias to the Lear45\sound package to make it compatable with FSX SP2, if you are flying FSX-A you can open the sound file and change the alias to point to FA-18\sound for a more realistic environment. Alternatively, you can download j33sndfs.zip from flightsim.com and install that sound package in the sound folder. This package is an exterior and interior sound package for an Allision J33-A-35 turbo and is very realistic. Repainting: There are two models included in the package fis and ew133. Both models support FS10 SP2 specular mappings. ew133 represents a Canadian Silver Star with electronic warfare equipment. CREDITS Airfile made with AVhistory.org's 1% Spreadsheet process.
