This is an update for FSX of the FSND B727-200. I have given it a decent 2D panel similar to the VC. I have added the rest of the wheels, and corrected the positions of the scrape points, engines, etc. I have updated the flight dynamics and changed the smoke effect, since it did not come with the effect that is in the aircraft.cfg file. Unzip to a folder of your choice. Copy the aircraft to the main FS airplanes folder. Copy the effect to the main FS effects folder. No need to overwirte anything already there. If you have not already done so, copy the cab files from the default aircraft panel folders that have .cab files in them; for some the cab files will be zip files as .cab files are a type of zip file. The smoke was still set as if the aircraft was flying in FS9. The readme PDF file is for the VC, but most of the gauges are the same for the 2D panel. You can decend from cruise altitude at up to 1,500 ft./min. and not gain too much speed, if you first slow down to about 220 indicated. Since the aircraft is not overweight, you can turn around and land anytime, without burning off, or dumping, fuel. There is a problem at 8x and 16x time compression; you cannot change course accurately, or follow a GPS course accurately. Since I took all the gauges off the panels except the autopilot and the icon to toggle it, and still had the problem; it must come from one of the model files. I did look to see if there was anything in the air or aircraft.cfg file that might be wrong; but unless I missed something, the problem comes from one of the model files. The same panel and gauges in another aircraft does not have the problem. [Reference Speeds] flaps_up_stall_speed=150.00 full_flaps_stall_speed=122.00 cruise_speed=501.00 //knots over the ground at 38,000 ft. (285 indicated) max_mach=1.10 max_indicated_speed=750.00 max_level_speed=535 //knots over the ground at 38,000 ft. (308 indicated) The above is for quick reference to the normal flight envelope. Tip: If you make the ui_type= line, unique for each paint of an aircraft; then they will all show up on the choose the aircraft page without needing to check the show all variations box. I did that for all the paints of this aircraft. It is an easy way to have a favourite paint of an aircraft show up without needing to check the show all box. Anyone: You have my permission to use any of my updates with the following conditions: One, you don't try to make money with them. Two, you don't try to hurt, or take something from anyone by using them. Bob Chicilo. bchicilo@bell.net
