This is an update for FSX of the Seafire F46 by A.F.Scrub. I have added a trim gauge and a nav/GPS switch to the panel and centered the gun sight on the VC for the guns effects using the views section in the aircraft.cfg file. I changed the size and position of the GPS and made the radios bigger and easier to see. I corrected the contact points and the engine position, etc.; and updated the flight dynamics. I took out the off-set invisible drop tank that gave it a built in right turn. This update includes the under wing texture fix. Done in FSX, may not work in FS9. Unzip to a folder of your choice. Copy the aircraft to the main FS airplanes folder, copy the effects to the main FS effects folder. Copy the fx_tracer.bmp into the effects texture folder and the 20can.wav to the main FS sound folder. ATTENTION : -For FS2004, change the FS9_Wing_Guns.fx into FX_Wing_Guns.fx -For FSX change the FSX_Wing_Guns.fx into FX_Wing_Guns.fx From the original readme file: Effects -------- -Canopy and cowl flaps open by the standard keys. -On startup there is automatic engine smoke. -Smoke key triggers the exhaust flames. -Wing vortex effect appears by default at 2.5g or quick roll rate. -Continuous blue flames with smoke if engine is running . -War Emergency Power is controlled by the WEP.gau (Tick + or 0) -Wing cannon with flash, smoke and falling cartridges can be triggered with the standard Strobe key (O). It is much nicer however if you put the FS2004/FSX standard Strobe key (O) to the trigger from your joystick. You can change this in the Key menu. If you do the last above you will have to program another key for brakes; unless you want to use the separate toe brakes keys. [Reference Speeds] flaps_up_stall_speed=91.00 full_flaps_stall_speed=72.80 cruise_speed=250.00 //knots indicated at 24,000 ft. max_indicated_speed=500.59 max_level_speed=440 //knots over the ground at 24,000 ft. The above is for quick reference to the flight envelope. The range with the presently installed invisible drop tank is about 600 nautical miles, without; about 500. You will need some up trim for take off and for landing. If you use any flaps on landing you will probably need some throttle on until very short final; in spite of my greatly reducing the amount of drag produced by the flaps. Anyone: You have my permission to use any of my updates with the following conditions: One, you don't try to make money with them. Two, you don't try to hurt, or take something from anyone by using them. Bob Chicilo. bchicilo@bell.net
