This is an update for FSX of the TDS B787-8 as updated by Chris Evans. I have added a hud, a pitch trim gauge, and a nav/GPS switch, because I changed the autopilot on the 2D panel, VC has no changes. I changed the touchdown effect, the sound, the size of the GPS, corrected the possitions of some of the wheels and most of the scrape points; and I adjusted the flight dynamics. Unzip to a folder of your choice. Copy the aircraft to the main FS airplanes folder. Copy the effect to the main FS effects folder. I have included the PDF files that came with the update. Note: you can decend at up to 1,500 ft./min. without gaining too much speed. Decending at 210 to 220 knots worked fine for me. Should work at 277 as well. [Reference Speeds] flaps_up_stall_speed=140 full_flaps_stall_speed=115 cruise_speed=490 //knots over the ground at 38,000 ft. mach 0.85 (277 indicated) max_indicated_speed=730 max_mach=0.99 max_level_speed=516 //knots over the ground at 38,000 ft. mach 0.90 (295 indicated) The above is for quick reference to the flight envelope. I changed the autopilot for two reasons. The first is the one I added is easier to see and use. The second is that until I added it I did not remember that to fly a GPS course with the 737-800 autopilot you have to use the vor loc button instead of the n1 or nav button. I changed the sound because the interior was noisier than the exterior. Anyone: You have my permission to use any of my updates with the following conditions: One, you don't try to make money with them. Two, you don't try to hurt, or take something from anyone by using them. Bob Chicilo. bchicilo@bell.net
