This is an update for FSX of the JCA 717-200. I have changed the sound; changed the panel to one I added a HUD; corrected the contact points as needed; and updated the flight dynamics. No VC.

Unzip to a folder of your choice. Copy the aircraft to the main FS airplanes folder.

This update can be used to update your old version of the same aircraft that may have more paints and models than this one. Just rename your old air and aircraft.cfg files to old or something; then copy the air and aircraft.cfg files to the aircraft you have. If necessary, delete the paint section from the new aircraft.cfg file and then copy the paint sections from your old aircraft.cfg file to the new aircraft.cfg file.

The above will let you change back to what you had before if you so choose. If you want the new panel as well; rename your panel folder and copy the one from the update to your old aircraft. Do the same with the sound folder if you want to try the sound from the update.

If you want the contrails at altitude back, remark out // the last line in the [GENERALENGINEDATA]. To me they are too long. I was going to try to write a new one but it is not in the effects of the aircraft.cfg file, but a part of the sim somewhere.

[REFERENCE SPEEDS]
flaps_up_stall_speed   = 137
full_flaps_stall_speed = 115
cruise_speed           = 444		//knots overs the ground at 34,000 ft. (mach 0.77)[270 indicated]
max_indicated_speed    = 350
max_mach               = 0.88
max_level_speed        = 510		//knots over the ground at 34,000 ft. (mach 0.88) [317 indicated]

For me the approach worked best by keeping the speed at 130 to 145 knots indicated, gear and flaps down; until short final.
On take-off try to keep the nose at or below the 5 degree line on the hud so you don't scrape the tail. Trim as you like, and let the aircraft fly itself off with 5 degrees or less nose up.

Anyone: You have my permission to use any of my updates with the following conditions: One, you don't try to make money with them. Two, you don't try to hurt, or take something from anyone by using them.
