This is an update for FSX of the B757-200 Winglets by Project Open Sky. I added a HUD to the panel and a window with a hud that can be used with the VC; the contact points are all redone; and I updated the flight dynamics.

Unzip to a folder of your choice. Copy the aircraft to the main FS airplanes folder. If you already have this aircraft you will have to move it from the sim to a temporary place, until you have tried this update so you know which one you want to keep.

The HUD in a window is only for the VC and can be toggled off by the compass icon on the 2D panel if it is active when you use the 2D panel. In the VC you will have to use the instrument panel menu to toggle the HUD window on or off.

If you don't want the VC there, go into the aircraft.cfg file and remove the vc from the model= line.

[Reference Speeds]
flaps_up_stall_speed    = 140.00
full_flaps_stall_speed  = 115.00
cruise_speed            = 460.00		//Knots over the ground at 35,000 ft. (278 indicated) [mach 0.80]
max_indicated_speed=550.00
max_mach=0.960010

If you are at 35,000 ft. overspeed is just above 350 knots indicated. The lower you are the closer you can get to the 550 knots that is on the max_indicated_speed line before you reach overspeed.

At cruise speed and altitude you can go up to 16x time compression without the nose bobbing up and down. You may want to do that for those long over water flights that would otherwise be very borring. For some that might mean that the aircraft is unstable while stopped on the ground. If this happens, add 50,000 units of pitch MOI value to the MOI values in the aircraft.cfg file. If it still bounces, add more to the pitch MOI value until it stops bouncing. If you have to add to the MOI value, you might not be able to use 16x time compression at cruise altitude.

I remarked out one of the station loads so I could turn around and land without dumping fuel.

I would not have done this update, but I just found out that Project Open Sky has been dead in some way for some years now. From their read me file, they were very proprietary. Which means, don't mess with our stuff; at all.

Anyone: You have my permission to use any of my updates with the following conditions: One, you don't try to make money with them. Two, you don't try to hurt, or take something from anyone by using them.
