This is an update for FSX of the BAC 1-11-500 by David Maltby. I changed the panel background; changed, added, or resized the gauges; added a HUD in a window so you can use it, or not, as you wish; corrected any contact points that needed it; added the other wheels; and updated the flight dynamics. No VC. Unzip to a folder of your choice. Copy the aircraft to the FS airplanes folder. [Reference Speeds] flaps_up_stall_speed=125.00 full_flaps_stall_speed=106.00 cruise_speed=405.00 //knots over the ground at 25,000 ft. (285 indicated) high alt_cruise_speed=mach 0.70 //at 35,000 ft. (240 indicated) max_indicated_speed=540.00 max_mach=0.820 When climbing to cruise altitide set at least 250 on the autopilot; or you may stall before reaching whatever altitude you intend to cruise at. Best cruise for any altitude above 29,000 ft. is to set whatever speed gets you mach 0.70. Depending on how you are approaching for landing, you will need somewhere around 50% N1 with the gear and flaps down to have a reasonable vertical speed. The reverse thrust comes from the holes at the rear of the engines so there are no outside moving components to see it is working. I believe this aircraft was made for FS2002, so it is a very good model for the time. Anyone: You have my permission to use any of my updates with the following conditions: One, you don't try to make money with them. Two, you don't try to hurt, or take something from anyone by using them. Bob Chicilo. bchicilo@kelcom.net
