A collection of unmentionable dropable objects, may be used as scenery and mission objects, too. Objects are by my hand, except the AN-11 bomb, which was an old CFS2 object. I don't know who the author is, it's very old and the documentation vanished half a dozen compters ago, but, my thanks. Major Kong is a mesh by Max Grueter, I've texture mapped it and animated the good major, as well as created the effects controller and sound file-lifted from my favourite black comedy, of course. The Major waves his hat and yells, all the way down. I was stumped for a way to animate drouge chutes and folding fins- simple objects animation's are looped, and it looked screwy. I finally settled on multi-LOD for drouge equipped weapons and Mk.7 fin deploy. This works on veiwing distance, and gives a resonable impression of unfolding chute deployment. A note on effects- I still don't have a decent freeware nuclear effect. Abacus has a nice one in FD6, the only good thing in that package, but it's paywear, and is a very small explosion- under 15 KTs. There is a larger boom with the paywear Flyingstations Buccaneer, it's frame-rate death, and only looks good from zero feet altitude. You will have to adjust the effects in the sim cfg to suit your likes, or effects. I have not changed any of the effects entries- I'd be here all day, and you'll have to go into the sim cfg to set up your droppable objects for the saved flight you wish to use the bomb in. Only one missile, Skybolt. It's just a freefalling object. You can make the missile 'fly' on release by changing object type to 'ground vehicle'; I found this produces a CTD after ten minutes. I don't know why. Dropped from a B-70, or something moving at a great rate of knots at a lofty height; from 100000 ft, it will cover a fair bit of ground before impact. The retarder-equipped weapons actually do slow down, you can get faster decel and more hang time by reducing the object weight, and twiddling the time constants. This kind of stuff has always been a horrible fascination, a by-product of growing up under the nuclear gun, and learning to fight in a nuclear environment. Might as well get used to it. The nightmare is back, and I figure a lot of folks are going to get to see this crap up close and in action- sooner than y'all think. Sure hope I'm wrong, but your un-elected leadership caste think this is going to fix a number of impending issues that might force them to throttle down the feeding frenzy and non-stop orgy. None of it will stick to them, after all. It's a shitty plan for most of us, the plutocrats, too; they just don't know it yet. So. Barring an outbreak of common sense or pitchfork time (inserection), the clock is running down. Hillbilly has decided we are going to war because the saudi's want a sunni puppet in syria, and putin takes his 'red line' seriously. He also has no conventional depth, but he has loads of nukes. The decision has been made years ago, the last pieces are falling into place. I would also be remiss if I failed to point out that none of the global 'leadership caste' is functioning rationally, anymore. Don't look for dissent or public pressure, the population is too dumb notice and fixiated on doing what their phones tell them to do, and on how many followers they have on farcebok. Well. Any half-assed pilot will tell you that complacency carries a automatic death sentance. Wait for it. Enjoy it while you can. LLS. Over the hills and far away
