Version 1.0 - 04/05/2020
Philippe Marion © 2020
===========================
This package contains:
----------------------
- A New McDonnell Douglas MD80 panel (1280 x 960)
- An updated McDonnell Douglas MD80 Virtual cockpit (VC)
-----------------
INTRODUCTION
-----------------
I always found strange that one of the most iconic airliner of the 80/90s never
had a proper interior designed for it. There are many exterior models available for FSX
but only 2 VC models have been created for them. One is the Alejandro Rojas Lucena/FSND
and the other is this one, the Mitsushi Yutaka MD81 model. Also, none of the 2D panels
ever made are actually complete, no overhead or working throttle panel, etc...
Equally all these panels have been using a random mix of gauges.
So, I decided to make one from scratch, including a new Main Panel, a new Overhead and
a new Throttle panel, all using a new comprehensive set of xml gauges. I also updated
the Mitsushi Yutaka VC textures and gauges to better blend the package together.
I hope you will enjoy my modest freeware contribution to the FSX community.
-----------------
FEATURES V1.0
-----------------
New background panel bitmaps (day and night).
New Overhead panel popup matching the VC.
New 2D Radio Stack panel popup to better match the VC.
New VC Camera views including Autopilot (centered) and Jumpseat. See Installation.txt file.

New Ground Handling popup gauge with Fuel truck call, Doors control and Pushback.
New fully integrated FMC, FMC Split and FMC Inop, in both 2D and VC panels.
New fully working Auto-brake switch, based on POSKY Auto-brake gauge.
New fully working Auto-taxi switch, to maintain 15 knots taxiing speed.
New Wheel Brake Sound gauge, between 7 and 16 knots, disabled if Anti-skid is on.
New Eyepoint gauge to adjust the captain's eyepoint in the 2D panel.
New fully working annunciator in 2D panels.
New extended Cockpit Sounds gauge.
-----------------
COMPATIBILITY
-----------------
This panel is designed for FSX, FSX acceleration and FSX Steam Edition.
It is a complete replacement for any MD80 (or DC9) aircraft.
It has been tested on the default MD83 and many others.
Most features should work just fine in P3D up to P3D v3. However,
some features (such as sound effects) may not work in P3D v4.

I would like to make a version 2.0 of this package, and I would love
to make it compatible with the Historic Jetliners Group (HJG) models!
So do get in touch if you know how to do this!

The panel in this package is exclusively my work. However,
this wouldn't have been possible without the following people
and the wonderful freeware content they created over the years.
Mitsushi Yutaka for the MD81 VC.
Philippe Wallaert for some of the original gauges.
Garrett Smith for the essential FMC.
Deitmar Loleit for the original TCAS.
Daniel Gauthier for the original Cockpit Sounds.
Hiroshi Higami for the original Auto-brake gauge.
