I have made two bezel gauges and used the square one on the panel for this aircraft. The hole in the square one is transparent. The hole in the round one is not transparent. Some gauges need a dark background to look OK; and if the panel background is too light, you would need the round gauge bezel that cannot be seen through. Have you wanted to use a gauge on a panel, but the panel background did not have a hole where you wanted to put the gauge? Now you don't have to worry about that. You can use one of the bezel gauges in the gauge bezel folder. Or you can make your own and add it to the gauge bezel folder which is in the panel foleder with the rest of the gauges. You can download xml notepad from Microsoft and use it to edit any xml file. I used it to modify the pfd bezel file in the B737_800 .cab file to work with my two gauge bezel pictures. Note there is a file called Ace.exe in the FSX root folder. You use it to find out if the size of the picture in the xml file is correct, as well as to see if you made an error in the xml file. It won't show the picture if the xml file is not correct. If it shows the picture, but you cannot see all of it, the size for the picture in the xml file is too big. If you can see more than just what you would see by looking at the picture, the size for the picture in the xml file is too small. Bob Chicilo.
