I got mail "Please make XF-85 Goblin" one day.
This work might not have been permanently made without this mail.
XF-85 Goblin?????????????
I was not able to recall it momentarily what kind of aircraft was it.
!!! Parasite Fighter !!!
The word flashed in my brain.
The aircraft of strange shape remained on the corner of my memory has come to the surface.
Oh! Oh! Oh! Very Very Interesting !!
And........, This production started in the so pleasant surprise.
However....................
How should take off?
I cannot drop from the bomber surely.
Immediate large problem!!
The answer is......................................
Might how about your impression.
It seems to become favorite one for me.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The XF-85 parasite aircraft was developed to protect B-36 bombers flying beyond the range of conventional escort fighters. In theory, a B-36 penetrating enemy territory would carry its protecting fighter in the bomb bay. If attacked by enemy aircraft, the bomber would lower the Goblin on a trapeze and release it to combat the attackers. After the enemy had been driven away, the parasite fighter would return to the bomber, hook onto the trapeze, fold its wings, and be lifted back into the bomb bay. Although the XF-85 was successfully launched and retrieved from an EB-29B on several test flights, it was never flown from a B-36. The test program was canceled in late 1949 when mid-air refueling of fighter aircraft for range extension began to show greater promise.

[ About the installation ]
The airframe must copy the \XF-85 Goblin folder as it is in the Aircraft folder of FS2002 or FS2004.
\FS2002(FS2004)
-----\Aircraft
---------\XF-85 Goblin
Please copy all files in the \gauges folder onto the gauge in the Gauges folder of FS2002 or FS2004.
A general gauge is saved for the gauge bundled this time.
Kingair, Beach_baron, EXTRA-300 gauges are necessary besides the bundled gauge.
It is necessary to introduce no possession of these gauges separately.

[ About the operations ]
A special key operation is not used for this model.
SHIFT+E = Canopy Open-Shut, Wing fold
The gear is not originally installed in this aircraft.
It is because it is an aircraft that starts from the bomber, and returns to the bomber again.
However, it is impossible to take off with sled for emergency landing.
Then, it is set that a virtual gear exists though it doesn't see in this model.
Please store the gear after it takes off.
Otherwise, it cannot put on an original speed.
Moreover, please develop the gear when you land.
It crashes without fail because the gear warning is set not to go out.
Moreover, the flap has not originally adhered to this aircraft.
However, I can be not able to fly in low speed over the aircraft because I cannot set flight dainamics well.
And, I cannot land the airframe that not have the flap straight.
The existence of the air brake was not able to be confirmed in my material.
Then, the flap is set up for a moment forcibly.
It might be seemed that it is dissatisfied to pursue realism.
However....................,
Please permission for it.......... Please

[ About the directions point in FS2004 ]
This aircraft can be basically used also with FS2004 because it is made with FSDS Ver. 2.24 .
However, the aerofoil tip might not be able to enter in the screen in the spot taking a picture view because of very wide the width of the aircraft.
Please switch to the spot taking a picture view with other aircraft when this state happens seeming this as it is because the magnification switch of the spot taking a picture doesn't operate well.
Afterwards, if this aircraft is chosen by selecting the aircraft, it is sure to be displayed by a normal magnification.
