Readme file for CURTISS P-40Q FS Racer For FS2004 (FS9) Thanks for downloading this plane! The P-40Q was Curtiss's last attempt to improve the P-40 series to late war standards. Although a fine aircraft, it was still outclassed by the P-51 and -47, who were by then, proving themselves in combat. This example is a post-war racer/sport plane with military equipment removed, making it a bit faster and nimble. Just beware of that narrow gear! You Bf-109 pilots will be well prepared. Installation: Make new Folder in your FS2004\Aircraft folder, label it P-40Q_FS After downloading the zip, locate it, using your Computer Explorer, Winfile, etc. Double-click on it and extract the file to your P-40Q_FS folder.Everything should end up in the right place/folder. If you desire, you can copy the textures into the Sim's Texture folder. Either way should be OK. The panel uses default gauges, so no problems should occur. If you fly the in FS2002, you may want to install the FS2002 GPS into the panel.cfg file, replacing the FS2004 GPS entry. But keep in mind, this plane was not tested in FS2002 CREDITS Airfile made with AVhistory.org's 1% Spreadsheet process. Version 2.84.50.
