This is an update for FS9/FSX of the Alphasim Westland Future Lynx. I have updated the flight dynamics, added the fourth wheel, added a scrape point, and did my best to make it easier to fly without taking away the challenge of it being a helicopter. This is the whole aircraft.

Unzip to a folder of your choice. Copy the aircraft folder to the main FS aircraft folder, FS9; or the Rotocraft folder in SimObjects, FSX.

See the [reference speeds] section of the aircraft.cfg file for operating speeds.

The sound is presently aliased to the Bell 206 because the sounds that came with it hurt my ears. Also because without them the zipped file is over 5 megabytes smaller.

The rotors have soldid shadows in FSX at present and they also disappear behind clouds. If anyone knows how to fix this, I am sure many would be made happy to have it done.

The aircraft has an autopilot. I did not find any way to make it work for me. There propably were instuctions that came with the pay version of it, but they were left out of this free version.

For those who want, or need to, adjust the flight dynamics of a helicopter: It is mostly done in the air file with records 1400 to 1404. These values have the most impact on how it flys. The main rotor diameter does matter and should be at least close to the real diameter; not somewhere near 16 feet as at least one version of Aircraft Airfile Manager has in its comments.

Anyone: You have my permission to use any of my updates with the following conditions: One, you don't try to make money with them. Two, you don't try to hurt, or take something from anyone by using them.
