This is an update for FS9/FSx of the Iris Mig-29 Fulcrum (German and Malaysian). Here are the last two textures with the new flight dynamics, 2D panel and clear VC glass. I have also changed the clean model from model 2 to model 3 so it is truly clean like the Display team model. This is the complete aircraft, except for the sound and the rest of the textures. Unzip to a folder of your choice. Copy the aircraft to the aircraft folder FS9 or the airplanes folder FSX. Copy the effects to the main FS effects folder and the effects textures to the main FS effects texture folder. No need to overwrite anything already there. The gauges can be left in the panel.cfg file or copied, or moved, to the main FS gauges folder. For FS2004: the aircraft.cfg file in the FS2004 aircraft.cfg folder should be copied to the aircraft folder. The only change is to the smoke effects. Everything else is the same. For FSX: If you have not already done so, copy the .cab files from the default aircraft panel folders that have them to the main FS gauges folder. For some the .cab flies will be .zip files, as .cab files are a type of zip file. For those who fly from the virtual cockpit, you probably need to go into the panel.cfg file and remove the // from in front of the effects control gauge in the VC. You may also need to put // in front of the effects control in the 2D section. As always, you must go, at least briefly, into the cockpit for the effects to show. I have added lighter smoke effects, but have left in the original smoke effects; so if you want to have heavy black smoke, go into the aircraft.cfg file and remove the // from in front of the first 2 smoke effects. NOTE: FOR EVERYONE WHO DOWNLOADED ANY OF MY PREVIOUS UPDATES OF THE IRIS MIG-29; IF YOUR AIRCRAFT HAS A SLIGHT DRIFT TO THE LEFT ON TAKE-OFF, GO INTO THE AIRCRAFT.CFG FILE AND REMARK OUT // THE FIRST STATION LOAD, OR CHANGE THE FIRST STATION LOAD SO IT IS CENTERED (AT 0), INSTEAD OF OFF TO THE SIDE AT -1.11. THIS REMOVES THE CAUSE OF THE SLIGHT DRIFT TO THE LEFT ON TAKE-OFF. See [reference speeds] section of the aircraft.cfg file for operating speeds. I have left out the sound files and aliased the aircraft to the lear45. I have uploaded the sounds separately for those who want them because they are over 40 mega bytes zipped. It does sound much better with the original sounds. Anyone: You have my permission to use any of my updates with the following conditions: One, you don't try to make money with them. Two, you don't try to hurt, or take something from anyone by using them. Bob Chicilo. bchicilo@jet2.net
