FS2004 Chance Vought OS2U-3 Kingfisher U.S. Navy Observation and Recon Aircraft. Also used for spotting, rescue, anti-sub partols, and training. Can be used in both wheeled and float versions, based on ship catapults, shore bases, and at sea with seaplane tenders. Served thoughout WW II, and served with the British Navy, Russia, Chile, and others. Installation: 1)After downloading the zip, locate it, and extract the file to a temp folder. 2)Copy Folder OS2U-3 to your FS2004 Aircraft Folder 3)Everything should be in the right place and subfolder. 4) Copy the gauges into your FS2004 Gauges Folder. You may already have some of them, so you don't have to overwrite or reload them. Choice is yours. 5) Copy the textures os2u_glass_all, os2u_02, and os2u_prop from the texture folder over to the texture.rn folder. This will enable all textures for both versions, and makes this download a little smaller:-) 6) If you have any problems, look at the Folder of a plane you know that works in your Sim. See how it is made and arranged. 7) Double check everything before e-mailing me! 99% of problems can be solved this way:-) Since you are reading this, you are way ahead of the dimwits who don't read readme files!:-p BEFORE YOU FLY!....... Copy the GaugeSound.dll file into your FS Main Folder. Easygauge 2.0, what I used to make gau's, says this file is needed. If you already have one of my later planes, you most likely have this file already installed. SIM WILL CRASH IF NOT INSTALLED! NOTAMS: SHF e key opens the foreward canopy SHF e 2 key opens the aft canopies SHF w "enables" the water rudder. Remember the Observer/Gunner is 7 feet behind the CoG, so watch your trim settings when flying with a rear seater enabled in the plane's Fuel and Payload Menu. If something is "missing", or "wrong", oh well, you got it for a good price:-) For a one-man shop, I think I do pretty well:-p As for repaints, new versions, etc. I have no idea if, when, or what. So please, no "placing orders". These files shouldn't harm your computer, but I accept no responsability for their use and effect. Play with it,do repaints, give to friends or enemies(SEE BELOW), but do not make money off of it without my express approval. This also goes for any other peoples' files in this release. Also,if you want to re-post the plane, or its repaints, on your site, or another site, please ask me first:) I usually say yes, unless my plane been too corrupted or hacked by you or others. I only upload to Flightsim.com, and Sim-Outhouse.com. If you find one of my planes anywhere else, I cannot guarantee its integrity. Whoever re-posted the plane might be better able to help you if you have any trouble, if he did any mods and left an e-mail addy I have nothing against other sites, I just want to keep things simple, and easy to track.
