Please read ALL the following information carefully before installing this package. Depending on your set-up, the aircraft.cfg file may need minor edits in order to work for you. 99% of the time, this is unnecessary.

-I DO NOT own the rights to the aircraft included in this package. All rights belong to The Project Airbus Team, who created this wonderful looking aircraft.
-I DID NOT create the cockpit, VC, or gauges. Credit for that amazing work can be found above.

People like Chris Evans, Thomas Ruth, Hiroshi Igami, Phillip Hughes, and people like them are the engine of our community. My endless thanks goes to them for fueling my (and many others) passion of the skies.

General Notes:
--------------

This is a repaint for Project Airbus' Airbus A380 in a fictional Air Canada 2017 livery. Includes base model, high-quality textures, and updated VC. Air Canada never flew the A380, opting for the more economical Boeing 777 family for its high-density, long-haul routes. This is for several reasons, including a relatively lower population in Canadian passenger hubs, the phasing out of quad-engine aircraft, and lower international customer demand, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in our new universe, Air Canada has taken delivery of one single Airbus A380, available to fly any route of your choice. It flies under the registration C-FJAB and the tail number 801.

I had been hoping for a very long time to be able to fly an A380 in Air Canada's sharp new livery, waiting for a modder to release it. Alas, I could wait no longer. I learned to skin aircraft and painted this beauty myself. Enjoy.

Includes:

- Base Model Airbus A380 aircraft by Project Airbus (Freeware)

- Textures for Air Canada's new livery created as part of a rebrand in 2017
	- Air Canada Airbus A380-800 C-FJAB

- Full working VC with custom gauges updated for the quad-engine A380

- Custom 2D Panel. This panel is basically the default Airbus A321 with updated gauges compatible with the quad-jet A380. It's my understanding that this upgrade was courtesy of Thomas Ruth.

Complete Installation:
----------------------

**To install the LIVERY ONLY to your existing Project Airbus A380, please follow the instructions at the bottom of this document.**

	- Copy the ENTIRE folder entitled "Airbus A380 Air Canada" into your simulator's "Airplane" directory. This folder can be found in your game folder in the following location: ".../Microsoft Flight Simulator X/SimObjects/Airplanes".

- Load your simulator, click "Select Aircraft", select the Air Canada A380, and load up a flight.

- Enjoy!
******************************************************************************

If you already have the Project Airbus A380 installed on your system, you may opt to install only the livery. Please keep in mind that you may experience issues with the panel, VC, or model. To fix this, simply follow the steps of the Complete Installation above. If you know what you are doing, you can also fix these problems fairly easily, but that is for advanced users and/or modders. Also take note that the "sim=", "model=", "panel=" and "sound=" entry may be different from your own. Please edit those entries accordingly if you know what you are doing.

Custom Installation (Advanced Users):
-------------------------------------

- Verify the file "pa380.air" exists in your existing Airbus A380 folder. Other .air files are not supported by this repaint.
- Locate the folder in the .ZIP file called "texture.ac2017".
- Copy the "texture.ac2017" folder into your Airbus A380 base folder.
- Copy the following text at the end of the [fltsim.xx] section of you aircraft.cfg file (keeping in mind to change the x's in "[fltsim.xx]" to the corresponding number of your livery):

Final Notes:

-DO NOT redistribute livery.
-If you do not know how to install mods or aircraft, wonderful resources exist for this online. I will not provide support for these types of issues, nor will I answer questions about making mods work. That information already exists in abundance.
-I created this livery to be enjoyed for FREE and at no cost. Never sell this, or any other freeware work.
-This is my very first time ever re-painting an aircraft. Be gentle with your criticism.
