The Christen Eagle is the creation of Frank Christensen, who was at one time the owner of the Pitts factory. Therefore explaining the obvious similarities between the Pitts Special and the Christen Eagle. There are several differences however. The Pitts has a triangular gear strut cushioned by bungee cords, whereas the Eagle has spring-steel landing gear. The Pitts also has one set of wires on the horizontal stabilizer, the Eagle has two wires above, and below, the horizontal stabilizer, and, as always, the Eagle has a VERY different paint scheme...
