FS98/CFS1 Fieseler Fi.156 STORCH - North Africa (2). The Fieseler Fi 156 Storch (stork) was a small German liaison aircraft built by Fieseler before and during World War II, and production continued in other countries into the 1950s for the private market. It remains famous to this day for its excellent STOL performance. Original FS98 model creators: Terry Hill and Ed Ziegler. Panel by relik@techie.com. Stinson L-5 Sentinel

The Stinson L-5 Sentinel was a small American liaison aircraft built by the Stinson division of Consolidated-Vultee, before and during World War II. Began his life as the pre-war Stinson Model 105 Voyager. When World War II broke out, the Voyager was redesigned and then entered into service as a liaison aircraft. It also flew in the artillery spotter role and as an air ambulance. The later model L-5s had their fuselages modified to accommodate one stretcher patient. About 3591 Sentinels were built during WWII for the US Army Air Force and the US Marines. Original FS5 model creator: Jerry Arzdorf. FS98/CFS1 Heinkel He 70 "Blitz" - Lufthansa. The Heinkel He 70 was a German mail plane, passenger, liaison, training and bomber aircraft of the 1930s. Although useful, it had a relatively brief commercial career before it was replaced by types which could carry more passengers. As a combat aircraft, it was a not a great success because it rapidly became outdated. Nevertheless, the He 70 was a brilliant design for its day, setting no fewer than eight world speed records by the beginning of 1933. This virtual model represent the Lufthansa Heinkel 70 # D-UJUZ, 1935. Original FS5 model creator: Mike Hill. Panel: Default Hurricane CFS panel. Douglas DC-2 - Lufthansa.

Lufthansa purchased its first Doulas DC-2 through Fokker (the European agent for Douglas) in 1934. During WWII, others Douglas DC-2 captured by german forces on countries under military occupation, were delivered to Lufthansa and also to the Luftwaffe as a troop and cargo transport. The germans DC-2 continued in operation until 1945. This virtual model represent the Lufthansa Douglas DC-2 # D-AAIB, 1941. Original FS98 model creator: Harry Follas. CFS1 Henschel Hs123 - Luftwaffe. The Henschel Hs 123 was a single-seat biplane dive bomber and close-support attack aircraft flown by the German Luftwaffe during the Spanish Civil War and the early to mid-point of World War II. Although an obsolete design, it continued to see front-line service until 1944. This virtual model represent a Hs 123 of Escuadrilla Azul, flown by spanish volunteers of the JG-27 based in Vitebsk, Russian front, 1942. Original CFS model creator: Michael Hart. Panel: Default FW-190 CFS panel. All reworked with additional textures and new damage profile: Edmundo Abad 2010.

CFS Heinkel He 70 "Rayo" - Nationalist Air Force. The Heinkel He 70 was a German mail plane, passenger, liaison, training and bomber aircraft of the 1930s. Although useful, it had a relatively brief commercial career before it was replaced by types which could carry more passengers. As a combat aircraft, it was a not a great success because it rapidly became outdated. Nevertheless, the He 70 was a brilliant design for its day, setting no fewer than eight world speed records by the beginning of 1933. The Luftwafe commisioned a light bomber version which which was subsequently used in the Spanish Civil War. Twenty-eight aircraft were sent with the Legion Kondor, where they were used during the Spanish Civil War as fast reconnaissance and bomber aircraft. Their high speed gave them the nickname Rayo (lightning). Eleven war survivors flew until 1950 with the "Ejercito del Aire" as liasson aircrafts. CFS/FS98 Bucker Bu-133 JungMeister. The Bücker Bü 133 Jungmeister (Young master) was an advanced aerobatic trainer of the Luftwaffe in the 1930s. This virtual model represent the Bucker Bu-133 # D-EGHV, NSFK Aerobatic team (Luftakrobatik Staffel). This aircraft has civil registration which was carried both above the top and below the lower wings. This was one of the NSFK Acrobatic Flight machines in 1939. Original FS98 model creator: Captain Slug. All reworked to CFS1 with new textures, damage profile and moving parts: Edmundo Abad 2010.

Yokosuka D4Y2 "Judy"

CFS Yokosuka D4Y2 "Judy". The Yokosuka D4Y Suisei ("comet") was a dive bomber of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Its Allied codename was "Judy". The D4Y was one of the fastest dive-bombers in the entire war, and only the delays in its development hindered its service, while its predecessor, the more robust but slower Aichi D3A remained in service for years. Despite this limited use, the speed and the range of the D4Y was nevertheless valuable, and the type was used with success as reconnaissance aircraft as well as in kamikaze missions. This virtual model represent a Yokosuka D4Y2 "Judy" of 601st Kokutai, Luzon, Philippines, June 1944. Original CFS2 model creator: Mike Colclough.
