The Hunters

This project has been a long time in the making.
All files posted here are strictly Freeware & subject to the usual conditions.

Please respect our wishes NOT to redistribute the files (in whole or in part) or upload them to other sites.
This will enable us to support it properly & avoid piracy.

Warning: This add-on is for Combat Flight Simulator 2 only.

To make things easier all elements are included & the files have been configured as auto-install.
Please read the instructions carefully. You will need all 3 files for this first campaign.

Pack 1 & Pack 2 are common to all campaigns in the series & only need installing once.


CFS2 KOREAN WAR PACK 1: THE AIRCRAFT 3.8 Mb

This package contains the AI aircraft essential for playing any of the forthcoming campaigns in this Korean War series.

These are specially created unflyable AI Only drones with animation & full breaking parts models. Includes B-29, B-26B, Tu-2, MiG-15, La-11, Yak-9P & S-51.

CFS2 KOREAN WAR PACK 2: KOREA 3.8 Mb

This package contains the FarEast Scenery by Steve McClelland plus all common elements essential for playing any of the forthcoming campaigns in this Korean War series.

Please note: The FarEast scenery will be automatically placed in your CFS2\SCENEDB folder.
It must be activated from the CFS2 Scenery Library for the scenery to display.

Steve's FarEast scenery is available separately so you might already have it. It only needs activating once.

CFS2 KOREAN CAMPAIGN 1: THE HUNTERS 4.5 Mb

This first campaign for the Korean war series allows you to fly either of two authentically detailed Sabre Jets: The USAAF F-86F or SAAF F-86E.

In a series of 24 varied missions, you are one of "The Hunters" whose overall purpose is to fly the unfriendly skies of war-torn Korea and kill MiGs.
The campaign is inspired by THE HUNTERS, a novel by James Salter: "... and they had followed all the way, firing as they did, with that contagious passion peculiar to hunters."

UPDATES: We've had a lot of positive feedback on this first campaign. Fortunately, it seems we found & fixed most of the bugs before posting it. However, we have since discovered two annoying little bugs we missed.

1. Several people have reported gear & flap failure on the Sabre during some missions.
There's no problem with EASY flight model settings. In MEDIUM and HARD flight model the airspeed indicator, both fuel indicators and the radar altimeter are also lost by the end of the mission.

2. An error message on selecting Mission #2 & some other missions in the campaign.
This should not affect most users. The bug is more common with the German version of CFS2.

Both bugs have now been traced & fixed. Updates posted here
