                  Lda. 1947.
The Airline is now known as SATA Air Açores and was the first
in Portugal to have a civil, commercial registry aircraft, CS-TAA.
Being it's first aircraft, baptised Açor (Azor), and after only
two months of service, on the 5th of August 1947, the aircraft
was lost at sea, while flying from S.Miguel to Santa Maria (there
were no survivors). No colour photographs exist, but with special
thanks to Mr. Gualter Cordeiro's excellent memory (retired SATA
Ops Manager), it was possible to recreate what was once forgotten.

                  Boulton Paul Sea Balliol T.21.
The sexy Boulton Paul Balliol was conceived to meet a UK Air
Ministry specification that was drawn up in 1946 for a three-seat
turboprop trainer. The UK version equipped the RAF's Flying
Schools until the mid 1950s, when the RAF decided to emphasise
jet trainers. Some 30 Balliols were converted to Sea Balliols
and served with No. 781 Squadron of the Fleet Air Arm. by Kazunori

                  2004 Fokker F27 "Friendship" package.
The Fokker F27 is a twin turboprop commuter aircraft which had
its first flight in 1955. The extensive use of bonding in its
structural parts make this aircraft a pioneer in this field.
Of the 786 aircraft produced, some 200 are still in every day
service. This Gmax model has all the usual animations and a
somewhat rudimentary VC. This package contains 5 different Marks
of the F27, each with its own paint job. Model by Willem Bruijns,
Panel and Gauges by Fraser McKay, Flight Dynamics by Brian Horsey.
A paint kit in the form of layered Paint Shop Pro files is included.
                  Model ver. 1.2. Replaces V1.0 of this package. 19.2MB | |
