Installation Tips

1. Get Flightshop Converter. This comes downloaded as a zipped file. When unzipped view the readme section and follow simple instructions. Instructions do vary sometimes the readme page is a must. (Print out if necessary). Place the FS converter in your FS98 folder for easy access.

To use fs converter, simple double click on its icon, press the button you require (e.g. AIRCRAFT FILES), open the file you'd like to convert (e.g. ba744air), double click it & if the message Conversion Complete comes up, it should have worked.

2. Always read the reame document of your unzipped file. This will conatin the specific instructions on how to get your plane or panel to work. I find it easier to print off and follow what is usually about 3 or 4 simple steps.

Note: Some files from some sites are specific to FS5, FS6 or FS95. The file will usually state if this is the case. ( Have a look at the date of the site too - it's quite amazing how many old & dusty sites there are out there.)

3. When you unzip files always place them in a special folder with a name like UNZIPPED. This allows you to easily find these files when using FS converter.

4. Use a w95/98 unzipper such as winzip.
