P3D EC-121K Warning StarPackage
(Category: Prepar3d > Vintage)
314.35Mb (206 downloads)
EC-121K Warning Star for P3D 4 and 5 +. Designed from the outset as an early-warning aircraft, the WV-2 was officially named "Warning Star" although "Willy Victor" became the more common name. The original C-69 which became the prototype model for the 1049 Super Constellation, was also used for the prototype of the WV-2. The PO-1W/WV-1 tested the electronic equipment to be used on the WV-2s. In 1962 the WV-2s became EC-121Ks. This was followed by many designation changes due to aircraft modifications. In August 1964, the Tonkin Gulf Incident caused VW-1, the "Early Warning Squadron" to be tasked with daily airborne early warning coverage in support of combat operations in Viet Nam. Bases were initially set up at Sangley Point, Phillippines and later moved to Chu Lai, South Viet Nam and later Danang. By Virtavia

P3D Consolidated Vultee XB-46
(Category: Prepar3d > Military)
87.89Mb (77 downloads)
P3D Consolidated Vultee XB-46. For the 1944 jet bomber competition Consolidate Vultee (which became Convair) offered their model 109, which featured four Allison J-35-A-3 jet engines slung under the long straight wings in two large pods. Designated the XB-46, the first and only aircraft built made its maiden flight on 2 April, 1947. On a flight to Wright Field the XB-46 averaged 533 mph. Top speed was 548 mph at 15,000ft. The XB-46 could cruise at 439 mph with a service ceiling of 40,000ft. The aircraft was capable of carrying 4280 gallons of fuel and estimated range would have been 2870 nautical miles with an 8000lb bomb load. The XB-46 carried a crew of three, a pilot, co-pilot and bombardier. One of the more unusual features of the XB-46 was its pneumatic system which ran the undercarriage, bomb bay, crew doors, and brakes. No production orders were ever issued for the XB-46 as the Air Force deemed the type obsolete with the advent of the Boeing XB-47.

FSX/Acceleration Junkers A50 Junior Two Seater Sportsplane in two variants
(Category: FSX > Vintage)
16.38Mb (709 downloads)
FSX/Acceleration Junkers A50 Junior German two seater sportsplane from 1929 with wheels or with floats. It was a whole metal Aluminium plane with a 5-cylinder radial engine and was supposed to become a "Volkswagen" for the skies. Then, the world economic crisis destroyed the plans of Hugo Junkers and only 69 planes were build and only 50 sold. Even so the great plane was sold to different countries including float plane versions. My wheelplane is designed regarding the model I have seen in the Deutsche Museum Munich. The passenger in the front seat can be toggled using Tailhook. Probably the model will also fly in FS2004 and P3dV3 (not glossy textures in P3d!) but it is not tested and no guarantee and support ist given. FSDS model by Erwin Welker

DC-6 Tanker Missing Gauges Fix
(Category: Prepar3d > Props)
6.16Mb (81 downloads)
This is a fix for anyone that has issues with the DC-6 tanker pack's gauges not appearing. In some, not all installs for some reason, the gauges do not appear in the 2D or 3D panel. These two files should fix the missing gauges, as they were accidently omitted in the original release files. Simply drop the two files into your main P3D/gauges folder. Fix by Nicholas Mitchell.

P3DV4+ Douglas DC-6 Airtanker Pack
(Category: Prepar3d > Props)
258.91Mb (248 downloads)
This is a comprehensive update from the original package for FSX/P3D. This being for P3Dv4+ only. The update includes the updating of aircraft's textures, addition of PBR, new updated model configurations/tanks, updated sounds, and a few additional liveries. This is the entire aircraft. Originally by the CalClassic Propliners team that gave me permission to create the original package, this is an improvement on that initial pack. The pack includes the DC-6/F aka: Baby DC-6 and the DC-6A and B models. Which encompass the shorter bodied airframe and longer bodied airframe with and without the aerodynamic propeller fairings on the prop hubs as well as other minor differences in configurations and tank designs. Despite the different airframes and performance differences the DC-6 platform carried up to 2,450 US Gallons or 22,050lbs of retardant/water aboard. The operators included in this package are variations from Aero Union, Conair, Securite Civile, UTA Industries, TBM Inc, Sis-Q Flying Service, and Macavia International. 5 model variations and 8 liveries total. Original aircraft by Tom Gibson, FSAVIATOR, Jens Kristensen, and Greg Pepper. Airtanker conversion and update modifications by Nicholas Mitchell.
