(Requires the aircraft downloads for AD-6 and A-1H on pages 12 & 13 above.)
In the first set of MDL file upgrades for my Skyraiders, we were able to fix a texture anamoly in the fuselage of all three aircraft (AD-2, AD-6 and A-1H). HOWEVER, the new AD-6 and A-1H MDLs (for reasons unknown) developed a problem with the horizontal stab textures. ONLY the TR_AD-6 and TR_A-1H MDLs are effected.
This download contains new TR_AD-6 and TR_A-1H MDL files that correct the stab texture problem, as well as the fuselage issue. Simply drop these files into the MODEL folders of the respective aircraft, allowing them to overwrite the earliet file. You're done.
My regrets for the inconvenience, but the road to improvement is filled with potholes.

This download contains newly-upgraded MDL files for all three of TR's Skyraiders (requires original Skyraider
downloads on pages 12 & 13 above). The new MDL files eliminate the polygon/texture conflict on the fuselage just aft of the cockpit, and minimize (could not totally eliminate) the seam visibility in that area.

This package contains the VN_GPS100A.GAU and a panel.cfg file for use in the TR_AD-6 and TR_A-1H. The gauge is programmed for McClelland's Far East Scenery airfields in Korea and Viet Nam (locations are the same in any scenery)...Channels 1-44 Korea, Channels 45 up for Viet Nam.
To install simply paste the VN_GPS100A.GAU file into your CFS2/GAUGES folder, and paste the panel.cfg file into the PANEL subfolder of your TR_AD-6 and TR_A-1H aircraft, allowing it to overwrite the original.
The gauge, of course, can be used in any panel.

These DPs can be used as straight-forward replacements in the respective Skyraiders (TR_AD-2, TR_AD-6, TR_A-1H) and will add the new MK_XIII_Torp to the Anti-Shipping payload. The MK_XIII_Torp is required from a separate download here at SimV.
Though the MK 13 torpedo had many faults early on in WWII, by 1944's raid on Truk it had become a deadly weapon. And in a little-known episode of the Korean War, Navy AD-2s successfully attacked the Han River Dam using MK 13 torpedoes after all other weapons had failed.

This DP can be substituted for the stock file in the stock CFS2 TBF. Don't forget to delete the CDP file when you do so. You might wish to save the original DP for later use. Requires the MK_XIII_Torp download (above)

This is an original model of the US Mark XIII aerial torpedo with the improved performance achieved by field modifications during the war. Early in the war the Mk13 could only be dropped from altitudes of 50 feet or below and speeds of under 110 kts (as in CFS2). The field mods added plywood casings to the nose and tailfins that broke away on entry to the water and protected the torpedo from breaking up. This torpedo can be dropped effectively from the same altitudes and speeds as the Japanese Type 91 (~150'/~150kts).
The MK_XIII_Torp can simply be substituted for the standard Mk13 in the DP of the stock TBF. In other aircraft it may require a small adjustment to the mounting point.
To install simply place all of the files from the download into the corresponding folders/subfolders of your CFS2 install.

The Douglas AD-2 Skyraider went into service in 1946 and served in the Korean War. She continued with the Navy, Marines and Air Force through Viet Nam into the mid 1970s. She was known as Skyraider, but more frequently referred to a Able Dog and SPAD, an acronym for Special Purpose Attack Douglas or Special Purpose Able Dog. SPAD is also a reference to such an aged prop job still flying in the age of jets. And she took down at least one MiG fighter in a gun duel over Viet Nam.
This model in it's original simplified form first appeared in the Fox Four Red Star campaign as an AI. She was created by FangVV, Hayden Scott-Williams, AIR/CFG by Indio Black, Mike Eustace, DP by myself. I have upgraded/updated the source file to player level.
Textures are by Sopwith Chameleon, James Peach. http://sopwithc.wetpaint.com
The skin represents an aircraft of the Special Operations Wing flying out of Da Nang during the VN conflict.
The model is multi-LOD. She carries a complex panel by Mike Eustace...be sure to read the Panel Instrucitons, and has a rudimentary DVC. Her weapons are by Bbolt and Martin Wright.
Installation: Simply place all of the files contained in the folders/subfolders of the download into the corresponding folders/subfolders of your CFS2 main directory.

The skins represent aircraft of the Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club flying from USS Intrepid in the Viet Nam conflict. The primary skin is Sword and the alternate is Pussy Galore, both US Navy.

Grushin MAI3 for CFS2
by: W. Dickens, Peperez, Kelticheart et al.
Born in 1906, Grushin worked on various aircraft at MAI. In 1935 he began scheming a tandem-wing aircraft, thinking this could form the basis of an attack aircraft with a rear gun turret. The single example of the Sh-Tandem (Shturmovik-Tandem) was constructed in the Institute's production training school. It was exhaustively tested by P M Stefanovskii from 5th December 1937. The key feature of this aircraft was that it had a main wing and a rear wing with 45 per cent as much area.
