The Government of India is currently in the process of passing a bill that would allow Indian domestic airlines to fly to destinations outside India. Currently only 2 airlines i.e. the State owned Indian Airlines and Air India fly abroad. So in the next 5-10 years we should see more bigger aircrafts being purchased by the airlines in India.
