Udorn Royal Thai Air Force Base Vietnam, 1969 Scenery. An
upgraded model of Udorn Royal Thai Air Force Base as it appeared
in early 1969. Huge by Thai airbase standards, Udorn was the
home of the USAF’s 432nd Tactical Reconnaissance/Fighter Wing
(one of the outstanding combat units of the Vietnam War). Udorn
was also the headquarters of the 56th Special Operations Wing
(Air America). Secretly owned by the CIA, Air America conducted
covert operations in Laos. The sprawling Air America complex
occupied much of the southern part of Udorn. Requires the trees_v3.zip
object library by Gerrish Gray (here).

Binh Thuy Airfield Vietnam late 60's Scenery.
A model of Binh Thuy Airfield as it appeared in the late 1960's
at the height of the Vietnam War. Binh Thuy was a major airbase
in the Mekong Delta about 7 miles northwest of Cantho. It was
the home of the 632nd Combat Support Group. There is a modern
airport (Tra Noc) at the same location in FS 2002. The airport
code for Tra Noc is VVCT, whereas the code for Binh Thuy was
VVBT. This scenery was designed for FS 2002 but it should work
in FS 2004. George Knowles. 521K |

Binh Thuy Airfield , Vietnam, 1970 Scenery.
This 1970 version of my Binh Thuy Airfield scenery depicts the
base after the US Navy's Task Force 116 established its headquarters
there. In addition to a large fleet of river patrol boats, the
Navy's riverine force at Binh Thuy included a detachment of
helicopter gunships and a flight of OV-10A attack aircraft.
NOTE: A few days ago, I posted a 1960s version of Binh Thuy
AF. It depicts the base as it was prior to construction of the
extensive naval facility. There is a modern airport (Tra Noc)
at the same location in FS 2002. The airport code for Tra Noc
is VVCT, whereas the code for Binh Thuy was VVBT. This scenery
was designed for FS 2002 but it should work in FS 2004. George
