the well-known Ju 8. Wings and tail wing were taken from the
Ju 188 without modification, the landing gear originated from

The textures in the rudder of the Tiger Moth have an inaccuracy

                  Ala Littoria, C.R.D.A. Cant.Z.506T (V.01)
                  A C.R.D.A. Cant.Z.506A (I-POLA, from the first construction
batch of this entirely wooden construction seaplane), was converted
into a landplane by mounting a fixed landing gear, in order
to try breaking a distance record taking off from Cagliari-Elmas
airport. The attempt was first delayed due to bad weather conditions,
and later even cancelled. So it was eventually converted back
to its original seaplane configuration. This plane, powered
by three American made Wright Cyclone, made its first flight
in August 1936 and was transferred to Cagliari-Elmas airport
during September 1936. Original aircraft, features the usual
moving parts, such as all flight controls, props pitch and navlights.
Requires the previous installation of the C.R.D.A. Cant.Z.506A/C
                  (V.01) package (here) and
                  the 2D panel enhancement (here).

                  Macchi MC.200 Saetta.
The Saetta (Lightning) was the first Italian design to combine
a cantilever low-wing monoplane with fully retractable main
landing gear. However, it was underpowered by a radial engine
that was too weak to give it a good performance. Although the
original prototypes had fully enclosed cockpits, the preferences
of Italian pilots ensured that it was an open cockpit, later
                  semi-enclosed. By Kazunori Ito. 3.1MB | |
