330 Golden West - At one time, Golden West had more departures
from Los Angeles International than any other carrier. It flew
the Shorts 330 - sometimes known by the nicknames, "Boxcar"
and, "Catfish". The airline ceased operations in the early 80's.

Consolidated XPBY-5A US Navy, 1939. Moving Parts The prototype
of the PBY amphibian, the XPBY-5A, BU #1245, actually the last
PBY-4 flying boat off the production line. This aircraft was
modified with the fitting of Consolidated's 'self contained'
