FS2004 Bell X1 V1.0. Includes a VC (virtual cockpit) ,animated suspension and controls, reflective textures Etc. The Bell X1 was rocket powered and carried approx 5 minutes worth of fuel and was normally dropped from a mothership ,usually a B-29 adapted for the purpose, although it was originally designed for conventional ground Take-offs, a feat which Chuck Yeager succesfully completed on January 5th 1949. I was unable to make it rocket powered in FS2004 (Rockets are not supported in FS2004) so it is set up as a Jet. The thrust settings are what they would have been from the rocket so this ac will achieve realistic speeds. The Super Aircraft are Very Fast and fun to fly and very difficult to land Stall speeds are 145 knots and cruise speeds are 800 + knots So you must slow 650 knots to land you need 6000 feet of runway..Reduce to 25 % power full flaps at the 10 mile marker at the 5 mile marker reduce to 0% power full flaps .. FS2004 Meyers OTW 160. This aircraft is built for FS2004. It may or may not work in other versions. A note about the panel. There is a button on the panel with an arrow pointing to the right. FS2004 Taxi easy steering tailwheel planes Mod. Tailwheel planes use differential braking and power to taxi correctly, so you should have a good controller with pedals to play them without annoyance.
