Bell P-400 Airacobra 'Impatient Virgin',
USAAC 67th Fighter Squadron, 347th Fighter Group. Henderson
Field, Guadalcanal, November 1942 (Bare Bones Package). Updated
for 98 with animated prop, landing gear, and flaps. P-400 was
the US designation given to the British 'Model-14' export version
of the Airacobra following the enactment of the Lend-Lease Act.
Since the British canceled their order, the US Army requisitioned
a number of P-400s in the days after Pearl Harbor due to a shortage
of modern fighters. Many of these were shipped to the Pacific
where - with P-39Ds - they were used in the defense of New Caledonia,
Guadalcanal, New Guinea, and Australia. FS5 Model/AFX by Eric
C. Johnson. Original texture parts by Eric C. Johnson and Philippe
Millour. Includes update of Chuck Dome's P-39 panel (uses only
default gauges). Custom FD by Christoph Ruhtenberg of EYA -
Enjoy your Aircraft. 98 Update, repaint, panel, and package
assembly by by Derek 'Deke' Wakefield of Indianola Flightcraft.

Bell Airacobra Mk.1 AH579 601 Sqn RAF October 1941
(BASIC PACKAGE). The RAF ordered 675 P-39D's which were known
as Airacobra Mk.1's. The RAF versions differed from their US
cousins by the installation of a Hispano 20mm cannon and 6 303-cal
(7.7mm) machine guns. Once the aircraft entered service, it
was soon found lacking in rate of climb and high-altitude performance.
The balance of the 675 aircraft order were transfered to the
USAAC (as the P-400) and Soviet VVS. FS5 Model/AFX by Eric C.
Johnson. CFS moving parts model and original textures by Chuck
Dome. Original CFS textures by Steve Bezant. Includes update
of Chuck Dome's P-39 panel (uses only default gauges). Custom

Bell P-39D Airacobra, USAAC 31st Pursuit Group,
Selfridge Field, MI, February 1941 (BASIC PACKAGE). Originally
designed as an interceptor, the US Army requested that Bell

removal of it's Allison V-1710's turbosupercharger and enlarging
the plane; leading to a marked reduction in performance. The
D model was the first combat ready production variant. It was
one of only a handful of modern combat aircraft available to
the USAAC at the time of Pearl Harbor. FS5 Model/AFX by Eric
C. Johnson. CFS moving parts model and original textures by
