Aircraft is Circa 1957 No. 445 (All-weather Fighter) Squadron was formed at North Bay, Ontario, on 1 April 1953 and relocated at Uplands, Ontario, five months later. At the beginning of November 1956 the squadron flew overseas to join No. 1 Fighter Wing at Marville, France, as the first CF-100 unit in the R.C.A.F.'s No. I Air Division. The squadron number is the second new number created in the R.C.A.F. since the end of the Second World War. FS2004/2002 Convair XF2Y-1 Sea Dart. This is a hydro plane fighter that the U.S. Navy and the Convair co. made for trial purposes equipped with the jet engine. The airframe was a delta no tail form, and J34 jet engine bimotored. It had a hard time in the prevention of the inhalation of water most when this airframe was made. Though 1 or 2 hydro ski is installed under the nose, and it dealt with this, the defect of the vibration and the stability the water's sliding was not able to be canceled.
