FSX/FS2004/ P3D3 (Not V4) The Buccaneer was originally designed in response to the Soviet Union's Sverdlov-class cruiser construction programme. Instead of building a new fleet of its own, the Royal Navy could use the Buccaneer to attack these ships by approaching at low altitudes below the ship's radar horizon. The Buccaneer could attack using a nuclear bomb, or conventional weapons. It was later intended to carry short-range anti-shipping missiles to improve its survivability against more modern ship-based anti-aircraft weapons. The Buccaneer entered Royal Naval service in 1962. The initial production aircraft suffered a series of accidents due to insufficient engine power, which was quickly addressed in the Buccaneer S.2, equipped with more powerful Rolls-Royce Spey jet engines. The Buccaneer was also offered as an entrant into a new Royal Air Force (RAF) contest for a new attack aircraft. It was initially rejected in favour of the much more advanced supersonic BAC TSR-2, but the cost of the TSR-2 programme led to its cancellation, only to be followed by the cancellation of its selected replacement, the General Dynamics F-111K. The Buccaneer was finally purchased by the RAF, entering service in 1969.
The Royal Navy retired the last of its large aircraft carriers in 1978, moving their strike role to the British Aerospace Sea Harrier, and passing their Buccaneers to the RAF. After a crash in 1980 revealed metal fatigue problems, the RAF fleet was reduced to 60 aircraft, while the rest were scrapped. The ending of the Cold War led to a reduction in strength of the RAF, and the accelerated retirement of the remaining fleet, with the last Buccaneers in RAF service being retired in 1994; in favour of the Panavia Tornado. The South African Air Force (SAAF) also procured the type. Buccaneers saw combat action in the first Gulf War of 1991, and the South African Border War.
This is the excellent FS2004 model of Alphasim to whom all merits go, adjusted to its operation in FSX up to P3Dv3. We thank all those who made complementary textures ... personally and made changes in burners, smoke system, gauges, textures of VC and multiple skins of Royal Navy and Royal Air Force. Presented in a package for you. Enjoyment.....

This update includes the following updates, changes and missing bmp-files on the
current V2.0 version.
1. A major re-work on the Head Up Display ( HUD ) gauge has been done. Mainly for the landing approach the horizontal center line is correct lined up with the real horizon and the velocity symbol along with the localizer and glide slope points precise to the touch down
position of the runway.
In connection with this re-work some small changes on the EFVC model, on the panel.cfg, and on the aircraft.cfg were required also.
Note: This new VCHUD gauge may NOT work correct on the latest P3D version !!!
2. A major re-work on the 2D HUD display has been done. Only the HUD graphical
presentation is now being displayed.
3. Missing effects and texture files for missile contrails have been updated.
4. Missing effect display for the 50% throttle power has been updated.

P3D4 FA-18 Package P3D4+ adaption. Original model by Microsoft included with FSX Acceleration but this panel did not work in P3D v4. Added F2 gauges from the Mitsubishi F-2A/B from Team KBT. FSX native /P3D4 model. Note: If you already have FSX Acceleration you do not need this aircraft. Multiple liveries: Blue Angels, USAF, US Navy, etc. It should also work in earlier P3D version. Alphasim / Virtavia Sepecat Jaguar - native FSX conversion. Works in P3D4.
'Several year back I adapted the Alphasim model for use in FSX. Now I find Mr Henk Schuitemaker has made a good job to convert to FSX native for use in P3D4 also.
The good old FS2002/FS2004 Alphasim Jaguar will always be special to me, it was one of the 1st payware addons I bought.
Although the model shows it age and is quite basic for todays standards I think it still looks nice and is good fun if you
just want to hop in and fly. I hope this will be a fitting tribute to the glory days of FS2004 when developers like
Alphasim made such a rich variety of military aircraft types, many of those have never been (re)done for FSX.'

The Rockwell-Messerschmitt-Bolkow-Blohm X-31 was an experimental jet fighter designed to test fighter thrust vectoring technology. It was designed and built by Rockwell and Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB), as part of a joint US and German Enhanced Fighter Maneuverability program to provide additional control authority in pitch and yaw, for significantly more maneuverability than most conventional fighters. An advanced flight control system provided controlled flight at high angles of attack where conventional aircraft would stall or lose control. Two aircraft were built, of which only one has survived. This is an FSX update for the X-31 featuring a dramatically improved VC and a new 2D panel. I've tried to create both panels as closely to the real panel as possible. Automatic exhaust smoke and afterburner effect added. Thanks and credits go to Capt. I. D'Attomo for the original model. New panels and some other improvements by Michael Pook.
