This is a repaint of a DC-8-63 in Air Zaire colors. The payware DC-8 50-70 pack by JustFlight is needed for this repaint. Textures are DXT5. This repaint was tested FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3. Air Zaire operated 2 DC-8-63s. This aircraft, 9Q-CLG was previously with Air Congo and transferred to Air Zaire in 1971. It provided good service for the airline until 1991 when it was sold to African Air Charter (AAC).

This is a repaint of the DC-4 in Air Zaire colors. The freeware DC-4 (C-54) V3 by Jens B Kristensen is needed for this repaint. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX & P3D v1-3. Textures are 32bit DDS. Air Zaire operated 8 DC-4s. These were passed on to the airline by Air Congo, after the name change in 1971. This DC-4, 9Q-CBG was with Air Congo/Air Zaire from 1967 to July 1976, when it was sold to Zaire Aero Service. It tragically crashed with that airline, on August 23 1988, over Mbamou Island in in the Republic of the Congo.

This is a repaint of the Sud Aviation Caravelle VI-R in Air Zaire colors. The freeware Sud Aviation Caravelle VI-R by AFG is needed for this repaint. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX & P3D v1-3. Textures are 32 bit DDS for better image quality. BMP textures are also included for the FS9 users. (A link of a Caravelle 10R FSX panel is included for FSX and P3D users). In actuality, Air Zaire did not operate the Caravelle VI-R. They operated the 11R. No sim model exists for that Caravelle model. Only six were produced by Sud Aviation, of which two were operated by Air Zaire. The Sud Aviation Caravelle 11R was 2.4 feet longer than the VI-R. The VI-R was one of the most popular models of the Caravelle series. Air Zaire operated the Caravelles from 1967 to 1976.

This is a repaint of the 747-121 in Air Zaire colors. The payware 747-200 HD by Commercial Level Simulations - CLS is needed for this repaint. This repaint was tested FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3. Textures are 32bit DDS. Air Congo was renamed Air Zaire, after the Democratic Republic of the Congo changed its name to Zaire in 1971. At the time, the fleet included 2 Douglas DC-8-33s, 8 Fokker F.27-600s, 2 SudEst SE-210 Caravelle IIIs, 6 DC-4s, and 4 DC-3s. In 1972, the carrier put in orders for 3 737-200s, and 2 DC-10-30s, the first of which arrived in February 1973. In October 1973 Air Zaire leased a 747-121 from Pan Am. Air Zaire began services from Kinshasa to Brussels, Geneva, and Rome just a month later, in November. By year’s end, Air Zaire was one of the largest carriers in Africa.

Pan American-Grace Airways, also known as Panagra was an airline formed as a joint venture between Pan American World Airways and Grace Shipping Company.In 1939, a passenger traveling from the U.S. to Buenos Aires would board a Pan Am Sikorsky S-42 flying boat at Miami and fly to Colon, Panama in the Canal Zone, stay overnight and then board a Panagra Douglas DC-2 or DC-3 and fly to Buenos Aires with overnight stops in Guayaquil, Arica and Santiago. Panagra used Douglas DC · 3 but the model used here is the C47 (sorry). This package allows simmers to fly any of Manfred Jahn's V3 C-47s from a modern.
