For the first time in the history of Microsoft Flight Simulator, a developer has created and released an Enstrom helicopter add-on. Eagle Rotorcraft Simulations is proud to be the first developer to give the flight simulation community a high quality Enstrom 280FX for FSX Acceleration. Features include FSX native models with animations, specular and normal mapping, custom avionics and much more. Tested in Windows Vista and Windows 7 under DX9/DX10 with no issues. These famous aircraft formed the backbone of the Imperial Airways, it's sucessor BOAC. and its partners Qantas Empire Airways and TEAL from the mid 1930s and through World War Two. The Argonaut and the North Star were Merlin-engined version of the Douglas DC-4. A total of 71 were produced by Canadair. In Canada it was called the North Star and was used by airlines and the RCAF. 22 Argonauts were delivered to BOAC 1949-1950, and they later had long careers with other operators like British Midland and charter companies. Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5 Package for FSX. The Royal Aircraft Factory's S.E.5.a went tooth and nail with the Sopwith Camel for the accolade of being the finest British fighting aeroplane of World War I. Designed by a team which included the legendary H. P. Folland, the first prototype was unveiled in December, 1916. The craft utilised a 150-HP Hispano-Suiza engine with a large, automotive-style radiator and truncated exhaust manifolds. The S.E.5.a was widely regarded as a tough opponent by the enemy and as a good friend in the air by its pilots. It was robust, fast, and very easy to fly. The aircraft remains extremely popular among early aviation history buffs and WWI aficionados, and replicas abound, in both full- and smaller-scale versions. Excellent reproductions of the plane can be seen in the films "The Aviator" and "Flyboys", but the best place to see the S.E.5.a in action is in the restored version of Howard Hughes' "Hell's Angels". P3d/FSX Native AH-1W Super Cobra Package for FSX. The Super Cobra traces its lineage from the UH-1 Huey and was originally developed for the US Army in the mid-sixties. The AH-1W is a two-place, tandem-seat, twin-engine helicopter capable of land- or sea-based operations. During Operation Desert Storm, the AH-1W comprised less than 20% of the attack helicopter force deployed, yet flew more than 50% of the total attack force flight-hours. In the entire Desert Shield/ Desert Storm campaign, Super Cobras flew more than three times the number of hours per aircraft per month than any other attack helicopter. Armed with a M197 20mm turret gun, twin 5" or 2.75" rocket launchers and up to eight TOW, Hellfire, Sidewinder or Sidearm missiles the Super Cobra was an attack helicopter to be feared.
