Recently I discovered that in March of 1969, when the lunar module ascent stage, "Spider" was released during the Apollo 9 Earth orbital mission, the ascent engine was commanded to burn to fuel depletion. This resulted in an orbit of 6,934.4 × 230.6 km. That orbit lasted until the ascent stage re-entered and burned up on 23 October 1981. Since the Space Shuttle Columbia first flew on 12 April 1981, that means that, hypothetically, the Space Shuttle could have been dispatched to rendezous (and possibly capture) Spider. These are a series of scenarios utilizing the Shuttle Fleet and AMSO. Both addons must be in the same Orbiter installation, Orbiter 2010, to work properly. The scenarios are located in the Scenario folder "Finding LM3(Spider)". There is a launch scenario on 13 October 1981 and a stationkeeping scenario on 14 October 1981. Using the RPOP MFD, a flyaround is possible. The scenarios are based upon actual orbital elements for Spider from October 1981. Spider was NORAD catalog number 03771.

This mission takes place in Tahiti. It has been discovered that an illegal weapons factory is operating somewhere on the island. Fly a DC3 to a jungle warfare training camp where you will pick up paratroopers. Locate the factory, drop the paratroopers to apprehend and evacuate the occupants then fly back to Tahiti Intl.and switch to an F-14D Tomcat armed with bombs. Fly the Tomcat to the factory and bomb it out of existence. You will then have the choice of either landing safely at Temae airport on Moorea Island or taking the risk of landing on the aircraft carrier in the bay. You will need Accleration for this mission.

Entering service with the RAF in 1951, the Shackleton was used primarily in the anti-submarine warfare and maritime patrol aircraft roles until the type's retirement in 1991! This package includes 4 models and 5 aircraft with animated bomb bay doors and radome (no VC)! All models and textures for FS2002/2004 by Paul Foster, original panel by Phoenix_Design from 2005! I have reworked some of the original gauges for better function in FSX, also the prop texture, contact points, fuel system, deice system, autopilot behavior a.s.o. and added a new FE panel! Please take a look into the readme file because I changed the procedure for manual engine start and other things!
