This is an update for FSX of Tim Conrad's F-5A. I gave it a new 2D panel background from a picture of the VC; added a HUD to the 2D panel; added an autopilot window so you can use it from the VC; changed the GPS size and position as well as the other panels that open in windows; added afterburner flames; corrected any contact points that needed it; and updated the flight dynamics.

MSN 111-29080 was built in Dallas in 1944 and delivered to the USAF as 44-10947. After the war, it was sold to Paul Mantz as NX1202. Mantz converted the aircraft to a “wet” wing where the complete wing is a fuel tank. He then won the 1946 and 1947 Bendix Trophy Races, and, with different pilots in the cockpit, NX1202 came second in the 1948 Bendix race, and third in the 1949 race. Mantz then sold the aircraft to Captain Charles Blair who, on January 31, 1950, set a world record flying from New York to London in 7 hours and 48 minutes. On May 29, 1950, Captain Blair flew from Bardfoss, Norway, over the North Pole to Fairbanks, Alaska, in another world record of 10 hours 27 minutes. He then set yet another world record by flying from Fairbanks to New York in 9.5 hours. In 1952 Captain Blair was awarded the Harmon International Trophy by President Truman. N1202 was sold to Pan American World Airways in 1953, who promptly donated her to the Smithsonian Institute. Today, she is on display at the Udvar-Hazy Center in Washington DC.
Painted on to A.F. Scrub’s magnificent P-51B Mustang, I have modified, with permission, the wing to give Trans-Continental and Trans-Atlantic range. Enjoy

FSX/FS2004 Pilotable racing schooner Atlantic. This huge three masted schooner with a total length of sixty nine meters was launched in New York in 1903. The vessel carried 1.720 square meter of sails and additionally it was equipped with a powerful but very heavy steam engine with 400 HP, which allowed seventeen knots. In 1905 "Atlantic" won a transatlantic race in only twelve days. It took hundred years to beat this record for single hull sailing ships. The new record was made by the high tech light weight racing yacht Mari-Cha IV. During WWI "Atlantic" served as supply vessel for submarines and during WWII as training vessel for the US coast guard. The original "Atlantic" was scrapped in 1982 whilst the new replic was launched in 2008. My model is very detailed and offers some special animations. The angle on the Z-axis can be increased in three steps by using Flaps and four configurations of sails can be set. In FSX twenty camera views provide decks- and mast views. Additionally there is an AI-version included. FSDS-model, animations and cameras by Erwin Welker.

This is my second update for FSX of the FSD T-38 TALON. I just gave it a better 2D panel background. I took the picture from an L29 aircraft panel and cleaned all the clutter off it. Then I had to reposition the gauges on it. I was able to put almost all the gauges on this panel as were on the other update I just uploaded. I am leaving the 16x9 panel there and only the first aircraft has the new panel. If you want to use it for all the paints, remove anything that is after the panel= for that paint. The reason I am uploading this is because of how much easier I found to land the aircraft with this 2D panel.
