The Solent was a large and powerful flying boat airliner of 1946 built for BOAC and TEAL (Tasman Empire Airways Ltd). The last Solent was retired in 1960. A Solent 3 of BOAC and Solent 4's of TEAL (early and late) and Aquila Airways included. Version 3 model with much better panel and virtual cockpit. For FS2004, an FSX version is available separately. This is Version 2 of the Consolidated C-87 Liberator Express. A new model.mdl has been created and besides all original version 1 features such as opening cargo door, loading ramp and textures for both the USAAF and RAF it now also has working cowl flaps, wheel chocks and pilot's heads which turn in direction of the bank The panel folder contains the basic Alphasim B-24D panel with a modified panel.bmp which omits the astrodome fitted just forward of the B-24D bomber cockpit. Wing/engine views can now be seen from the cockpit side windows. The original Alphasim B-24D VC panel is also incorporated. By Jim Nelson and Jaap de Baare
