FS2004/FSX Westland Welkin F.1 DX290
FS2004/FSX Westland Welkin F.1 DX290
29.77Mb (780 downloads)
The Westland Welkin was a twin engine heavy fighter built as a response to the threat of high altitude Nazi bombing raids. Ultimately the threat never materialized and only 77 Welkins were ever completed. DX290 is pictured as it appeared at Yeovil in 1944 with Medium Sea Grey upper surfaces and PRU blue under surfaces with no roundels under the wings. Two aircraft in this scheme served with the Fighter Interception Unit at RAF Wittering in 1944, but none actually entered operational service. Painted on to J.R. Lucariny's Westland Welkin, this depicts DX290 as it came off the production line. Unfortunately, I cannot remove the bombs.

FSX/P3D Spitfire HF Mk 7
FSX/P3D Spitfire HF Mk 7
9.36Mb (728 downloads)
FSX/P3Dv3,v4,v5 Spitfire HF Mk7. Like the Mk VI, the Mk VII was a high altitude pressurised variant, this time powered by the Merlin 64 (F. Mk. VII) or 71 (H.F. Mk. VII) series engine with two-stage, two-speed superchargers. Extended, "pointed" wingtips were fitted to the Type C wings, increasing the wingspan to 40 ft 2 in (12.2 m). Because the threat from high altitude bombers never materialised many Mk VIIs later reverted to the normal, rounded wingtip. Native mdl by A.F.Scrub

Beechcraft UC-45B SATA CS-TAA
39.22Mb (867 downloads)
Beechcraft UC-45B, SATA - Sociedade Açoreana de Transportes Aéreos, Lda. 1947. The Airline is now known as SATA Air Açores and was the first in Portugal to register a civil, commercial aircraft, CS-TAA, baptized Açor (Azor) and after only two months of service, on the 5th of August 1947, the aircraft was lost at sea, while flying from S.Miguel to Santa Maria (there were no survivors). No color photographs exist, but with special thanks to SATA's oldest worker recollection, Mr. Gualter Cordeiro (retired at the time, but now deceased), it was possible to recreate what was once forgotten. Gold paint did not exist at the time, so dark yellow was used to paint the logos’ wings. Flight Dynamics by Jerry Beckwith's Workbook and Shupe FD Build 10; Paint by Tiberio Almeida.

The Miles Hawk Major was a 1930s British two-seat light monoplane, developed by Miles Aircraft from the Miles Hawk in order to take advantage of the new inverted de Havilland Gipsy Major engine. When fitted with the longer Gipsy Six in place of the forward crew member, it was known as the Miles Hawk Speed Six.A racing version was developed with a 200 hp de Havilland Gipsy Six engine. To make room for the longer, six-cylinder engine the front cockpit was removed, making it a single-seater, and the rear cockpit was repositioned to retain balance. The type became known as the Miles Hawk Speed Six. Only three were built, each tailored to the buyer's requirements, but they has a significant impact on the Golden Age of British air racing This repaint is based on the livery of the Arrows A3 driven by Riccardo Patrese in the 1981 Formula1 World Championship.

FSX Aeroperu Boeing 757-200
16.74Mb (505 downloads)
Aeroperú Flight 603 was a scheduled flight from Miami International Airport in Miami, Florida, US (KMIA), to Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago, Chile (SCEL), with stopovers in Quito, Ecuador and Lima, Peru. On October 2, 1996, the Boeing 757-23A aircraft flying the final leg of the flight crashed, killing all 70 people aboard. Flying over water, at night, with no visual references, the pilots were unaware of their true altitude, and struggled to control and navigate the aircraft. The investigation determined that the air data computers were unable to show correct airspeed and altitude on cockpit displays because a maintenance worker had failed to remove tape covering the pitot-static system ports on the aircraft exterior. Model by Project Opensky. (No VC)

This is an update for FSX of the P-51D Reno Air Races by Roger L. Dial, Steve Small, and Mike Hambly. I have given it a panel background that I altered a bit that was made for a P-51; changed the size and position of the GPS; added an autopilot; and updated the flight dynamics; this is the whole aircraft; no VC.
