FS2004 Grumman OV-1D US Army Trainer Textures only. Repaint only for Tim Conrad's OV-1D Trainer. The OV-1D was widely used during the Vietnam conflict as a reconaisance platform as well as a light attack airframe. This version represents the standard trainer used for potential OV-1D pilots in a generic US Army training scheme for an aircraft at Fort Rucker, Alabama, in the early 1970's. FS2004 Boeing Pelican. While it seems outlandish, this is not a fantasy design, as such. This aircraft is currently under study by the Boeing Company. It's intended to meet the DOD's future strategic deployment initiatives. This calls for being able to deploy a full combat division, anywhere in the world, in 5 days. Or being able to deploy five divisions in 30 days. It's intended to replace surface ships as the primary heavy cargo carrier for the U.S. military. The design specification calls for this aircraft to carry 2.4 million pounds of cargo. While capable of flying at altitude, like a normal aircraft, it is really intended for use as a ground effect vehicle, especially for use over water. Cruising at an altitude 20 feet, using the ground effect cushion to generate additional lift, it will be able to travel large distances on the same amount of fuel used by traditional aircraft half its size. Repaints only for the recently released Mike Stone C-119 Boxcar (required here) Represents two Boxcars converted to armed gunship versions used during the Vietnam conflict as a replacement for the AC-47. Due to model limitations, the guns are two dimensional as was done for Mike's AC-130 Hercules varients. Also, the K model C-119 had two additional wing mounted jet engines that are not modeled on this version. These repaints are only suitable for the Mike Stone C-119 Boxcar.
