FS2004 F-86 Colombian Air Force Textures only. The Colombian Air Force bought 6 F-86F Sabre Mark Iv made in Canada by Canadair in 1956, this planes was the first super sonic fighter that arrive to Colombia. In 1963 the FAC bought another 4 American Sabres. This planes was earmarked to the main Air Base at Cacom 1, Palaquero, where they remain flying until 1967 when all the Sabre were withdraw from the operative service. Two Sabres were saved for the Catam's Museum and for the Military Aviation School at Cali. FS2004/2002 SAAB J-29F Tunnan (Flying Barrell). The Saab J-29 was the first European, post WWII, swept-wing jet fighter in service. It had a short, barrel-like fuselage and swept wings. The J-29 had high performance and heavy armament. FS2004/2002 Short Seamew AS.1. The Short Seamew was a highly curious looking aircraft designed in 1951 by David Keith-Lucas of Shorts as a lightweight anti-submarine platform. This specification was in response to the alarming increase in capabilities of the Soviet submarine forces following World War II However, poor performance coupled with shifting defense doctrine meant that it never reached service. The aircraft represented in this package is C.5-87 (fuselage number 4-087 with green nose band) of Ala No 4 stationed at Palma de Mallorca. These textures are intended for use with Kirk Olsson's 'gMax Sabrejet' package. FS2004 SAAB J-29F "Tunnan" The Saab J-29 was the first swept wing jet built by Sweden, first flying in 1948. Designed around the Ghost engine and central air intake, the resulting rotound fuselage instantly resulted in the name "Tunnan", Swedish for "barrel". Models A and B were fighters, the model C was a photo recon plane, and the final F introduced an afterburner, and new dogtooth wing leading edges. J-29's served with the Swedish and Austrian air forces, and also served with the UN during the Congo Conflict. Swedish J-29's ended their days as target towing planes, and as"enemy forces" trainers. This pack includes the J-29F model in Austrian scheme, Virtual Cockpit (VC), afterburner effects and function and smooth-function XML gauges.
