FS2002/FS2004
                  McDonnell XP-67.
1.89Mb (2594 downloads)
FS2002/FS2004 McDonnell XP-67. The XP-67 was twin-engine interceptor that had a somewhat revolutionary design by McDonnell Aircraft. When viewed from above the aircraft had an unusual profile, in that the engine nacelles and fuselage were shaped to provide true aerofoil sections throughout. The exhaust gases from the turbo-supercharged Continental engines were used as a jet-assist to increase performance. however, the rated horsepower of the "Hyper" engines was not achieved and the aircraft fell short of performance estimates. Performance proved to be far from satisfactory, and modifications were made to improve certain stability problems. The aircraft was destroyed in a fire on 6 September 1944 and the project was canceled before the second aircraft was built. by Kazunori Ito. 1.9MB

FS2004 T-6G (LT-6G) Texan 'Mosquito' USAF 49-3542 Ghost. A Ghost of Flight 19? I know... yes, I know Flight 19 were not flying this particular aircraft.... and that is irrelevant here because, in my view, this T-6G (LT-6G) Texan ('Mosquito') by Cliff Presley (here) is one of the most well made aircraft in Simviation. The small photo in Simviation is deceiving at first because it does not convey, to whoever peruses the pages of Simviation for interesting aircraft, what Cliff Presley's T6G really offers in this package. His T6Gt looks great, but it sounds even better.... it sounds right, as 'right' as aircraft of this period really sounded like. It really is a beauty and for that I take my hat to Cliff Presley. Fokker C.V-M/26.
2.75Mb (1638 downloads)
FS2004 Fokker C.V-M/26. This aircraft made an epic flight from Copenhagen to Tokyo and back in 1926, flown by A.P. Botved (pilot) and C.J.C. Olsen (mechanic). The Fokker C.V was a very succesful series of aircraft used for reconnaisance, as a light bomber or a two-seat fighter. It could be fitted with a lot of different engines, and wings of several configurations. This aircraft (R1 of the Danish Army Air Force) was powered by a 512 h.p. Lorraine-Dietrich 12eb inline engine. It was delivered as a C.V-C with square wings that made it look like a scaled-up Fokker D.VII. For the long-distance flight it had longer, tapered wings of the C.V-E type fitted, and all military equipment was replaced with extra fuel, oil and supplies for the crew. By Jens B. Kristensen. 2.8MB
