FS2002/FS2004 Boeing 2707-200 SST In the USA fears about being left behind in the supersonic airliner race as the Soviet and European SSTs started to take form on paper. The US government asked US companies for SST designs in order to compete with Europe. The Boeing model was the 2707-200. It was a large aircraft at 318 feet from nose to tail and had a complex swing-wing design with a tailplane behind the main swing wing. FS2004 BAC One-Eleven 401 LANICA (Merpati Basic) Textures only. After losing the use of their own aircraft while being repaired after a hijacking, Lanica leased in from other airlines to cover. Intially it operated a CourtLine series 500 but soon replaced that machine with this American Airlines series 401 that had been leased to Merpati Airlines of Indonesia. Still in the Indonesian carriers residual livery it was in use from March 1972 until March 1973 when it was sold on to Bahamasair as VP-BDI.Requires the BAC One-Eleven 400 model by David Maltby (here). FS2004 BAC One-Eleven 509 Caledonian Textures only. Flagship Isle of Skye was the first of an order for three new BAC One-Eleven 509EW to be delivered in March/April 1969. The three aircraft, joined a year later by a fourth, spent only eighteen months as a small fleet before Caledonian became Britains second force airline overnight. In October 1970 Caledonian took control of the main operation of British United. Renamed Caledonian//BUA the four One-Elevens were joined by the ex BUA One-Eleven 200's and 500 machines supplimented by four VC 10's joining Caledonians fleet of Boeing 707's on long range routes. After a couple of years the airline took up the name British Caledonian. The original Caledonian One-Eleven fleet were sold off in the mid seventies, this one going to Dan Air in October 1975. FS2004 BAC One-Eleven 5001 Caledonian//BUA British United Textures only. One-Eleven 501 resplendant it it's new Caledonian livery under the guise of Caledonian/BUA. The airline was later to become British Caledonian and this aircraft served throught it's existance and beyond flying eventually for British Airways after that airline took over BCAL.
